Summary: Harry and Louis are on a date and get called out.

Warning: Gay slurs

______

"Lou, it's freezing!"

"Should have put on that second coat like I told you, hm?"

Harry huffed, pushing his body closer to his boyfriends, seeking warmth, as they walked down the crowed sidewalk. He mumbled to himself.

"What was that, love?" Louis teased, nudging him.

Harry pouted, visible air puffing out of his mouth from the cold. "I said you're a meanie. I lost feeling in my fingers ten minutes ago."

Louis let out a chuckle, turning his body as a passerby almost rammed into his shoulder. People these days.

"Here." Louis pulled his gloved fingers out of his pocket and grabbed Harry's freezing hands, wrapping them in his own and sliding them back into his jacket. "Better?"

"Well, yeah," Harry said, a blush filling his cheeks. "But now I'm walking funny." He giggled.

"We'll I'd much rather you walk funny then lose your fingers, love. They're quite useful, are they not?" Louis winked, loving how Harry turned his head in shyness. He planted a sweet kiss in Harry's curls and they continued on their way.

After stopping for some hot coco at a small shop, they settled on a bench at a small park. And in hopes of warming up, they cuddles up really close, going as far as to intertwining their legs over one another.

Holding his warm cup close, Harry let out a laugh, begging, "One more! One more. Please?"

"Fine! Alright, alright." Louis relented fondly. Harry's jokes were absolutely awful, but he loved nothing more than watching the boy laugh.

"Okay," Harry prepared, stifling a laugh. "Knock knock,"

"Who's there?"

"Lil old lady."

"Lil old lady who?"

"I didn't know you could yodel!" Harry let out a series of giggles, leaning his head into his boyfriend's neck.

Louis huffed out a chuckle, wrapping his arms around the boy. "Good one, Haz." He mused. It took a second for Harry to settle, but when he did, Louis craned his neck down to connect their lips.

"What'd you do that for?" Harry whispered when they pulled apart.

"I just really love you." Louis mumbled back, cupping Harry's, now blushing, cold face with one of his hands while pushing their lips together again.

Their peace was too soon interrupted.

"Fags!"

Harry flinched, yanking his lips back from Louis's and shrinking in on himself.

It wasn't often that they were called out on their relationship, at least not to their faces, but it was never pleasant. Why couldn't people just let them love who they wanted to love? They're all human here.

Harry slid his leg away and squeezed his cup of coco harder while Louis swung his head around to glare at the figure walking by a few feet away. He sent daggers at the man until he was no longer in sight before he turned back.

"Haz?"

Harry hummed.

"...Are you okay?"

The boy stayed quiet for a moment before he looked up and met Louis's eyes. "Yeah, I'm alright." He muttered, eyes as genuine as they could be.

Louis cuddled Harry close when the boy leaned into him again.

"Hey, Haz?"

"Yeah, Lou?"

"We're okay." He squeezed the boys shoulder and grinned. "Haters gonna hate, baby."

"Hm... yeah. I love you, Lou." Harry dimpled at his boyfriend, pecking his cheek.

"I love you too. Now, why don't you tell me another joke.. and if you can to make me laugh, I'll buy you another hot coco."

And even if Louis managed a real laugh, he was going to buy his boy another coco anyways.

Short and sweet :)

I'm trying a different way of writing, so instead of feeling pressured to write a whole prompt with a whole backstory it's just something small with a few minor details.

Thoughts?

Bye bye for now!
