Summary: Harry and Louis kind of admit their love to each other while watching a Disney movie.

______

One night, Harry and Louis were cuddled up with each other in Louis's bed watching Harry's favorite movie: The Little Mermaid.

"Why does Ariel give up her voice to see some prince she wouldn't even be able to talk to?"

"Shush, Lou."

"And how do they fall in love if she's never actually said a word to him?"

"Shush!" Harry hissed into his best friend's bare chest, smacking him lightly and continuing to stare at the screen.

Louis let out a huff, twirling a curl of Harry's hair in this fingers. He could only keep his mouth shut for all of two seconds, much to Harry's annoyance. "What kind of logic is that?"

Harry pressed the remote to pause the TV, leaning back into Louis's chest and looking up at him, irritated, yet fond. "It's magical, Lou. There doesn't need to be logic if it's love."

Louis frowned. "There's all kinds of wrong with that statement."

The curly-haired boy groaned. "Don't ruin Disney for me Louis, or so help me, I will never cook you brownies again."

"You would."

"Wouldn't."

"Would."

"Wouldn't!"

"Would!"

"Be quiet! This is the best part!" Harry fidgeted to stare back at the screen, squeezing his arms tighter from where they were around Louis's waist. It was at the part where Ariel and Eric were on a boat while Sebastian conducted 'Kiss the Girl'. Harry was in awe—as he always was when watching the movie—at the sweetness of it all. He wished things were as easy as they were in movies.

His peacefulness was interrupted once more when Louis spoke up again after the scene had ended, "A crab sings a love song to get a prince to kiss a girl he just met?"

"Lou," Harry deadpanned, pausing the movie. He stared into the ocean blue eyes. "Have you ever looked at someone, and you just... knew that they were your person? From the moment you laid eyes on them?"

There was a beat of silence. Louis blinked curiously at Harry.

"Well, have you?"

"... Yeah, I have, Haz." Louis smiled softly at his best friend.

Harry's heart skipped at the look Louis gave him, but he continued with his point, "When you first saw them, and you got that feeling, what would you have done? If you didn't need a reason, and you just went with what your heart was telling you. What would you have done?"

"I would have..." Louis paused to think about the moment he first met the boy who came to mind, chuckling a bit, "I would have gone to him. I wished I had in fact, now that I think about it. Especially if I knew he had the same feelings. Things would be so different now."

"Who's he?" Harry frowned, yet his eyes were filled with hope.

"My best friend. The one person who I've spent the past year of my life with every day."

Harry let out breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Hell, I would have loved to kiss you the moment I first saw you."

Harry took a deep breath, releasing it slowly as his stomach fluttered with uncontrollable butterflies. Did Louis actually say that? His best friend? He wasn't imagining that... right?

Nope, definitely not imagining it. Because when Louis suddenly leaned down to connect their lips, Harry felt everything. From the tingling in his fingertips to the softness of Louis's lips.

It was nothing but a peck, but it sure as hell was the most magical moment in Harry's life.

"Um," Harry gasped. "Okay." He unpaused the movie and looked blankly at the TV, cheeks burning red.

Louis laughed, ruffling Harry's hair. "Nothing?"

"A lot of things. But, uh," Harry spoke dazedly, a smile on his face. "Oh, just finish the movie! I need to process for a second."
