Chapter 10

Ryan’s P.O.V

“This is amazing” Samantha said as she took another spoon full of her favorite ice cream.

“It is, isn’t it” I replied while looking at her staring to the blue sky.

“I wonder what Dean is doing” She said as she looked at me. I didn’t know what to tell her, I haven’t really met this Dean guy that she’s dating. He barely has time for her and honestly I think she deserves better.

For the past few weeks I’ve been having feeling for Samantha. I didn’t really say anything because I know she loved Dean. I couldn’t help but fall in love with the way she looks when she’s day dreaming, the way she bites her lips when she’s nervous, the way she covers her face when she’s embarrassed, the way she laughs, the way she talks, the way her eyes glitter when she’s passionate about something, the way she’s being her.

“Maybe you should call him” I said as I took in a deep breath.

“I’ll do that” She picked up her phone and dialed his number, she put it on speaker so that she would enjoy her ice cream.

“Hello” a girl’s voice spoke from the other end. I can see Sam’s face drop dead when she heard the girl’s voice.

“Who’s this?” She asked defensively. I can see the tears gather up in her hazel eyes.

“This is Tatiana” The girl replied “May I ask how you got Josh’s number?”

“Josh?” Samantha asked with a disturbed face on “I am calling for Dean”

“No, this is Josh’s number. He’s currently in a photo shoot with his band at the royals” She added

“Sorry, wrong number” Samantha apologized instantly and hung up the phone.

She was staring at the phone which was laid on the cold floor. She put her icecream aside as she stood up and cleaned herself.

“Where are you going?” I asked her as she picked up her phone and started marching in another direction

“I’m going to the royals to see what’s going on”

“I thought you said you called the wrong number” I asked as she kept on walking.

She suddenly turned around and looked me deep in the eyes as one tear fell down.

“I called Dean, I’m sure of that. He’s been acting shady for a while and this is just too much. I have to know what’s going on” She added as another tear fell down across her cheeks. “You can either come or go back to the store. I’m going to the royals”

I walked to her and grabbed one of her hands as I wiped away her tears with the other. I hugged her tightly because I know she’s quite scared right now.

Samantha’s P.O.V

We reached the royals and headed to the only room that held a photo shoot. I took a deep breath as I grabbed the door knob. I felt Ryan’s hand rest on my shoulder and squeeze it a bit. “Good Luck in there” He whispered in my ear as he hugged me tightly from the back.

I asked Ryan to leave this for me and that he should wait outside for me. It was nice of him to accompany me to the royals. I opened the door and I faced a room filled with lights and cameras. There were cameras in every corner, and every corner looked like a different set. One corner was a Christmas theme; the other was a valentines theme, while the third was being worked on.  

I saw a girl walk with a clipboard in her hands. She looked busy but as soon as she saw me standing there alone she came right up to me

“How can I help you, ma’am?” She asked politely with a smile on her face

“I’m looking for Dean” I answered back while still looking around the room.

She looked at her clipboard one more time and said “There is no Dean here, ma’am”

“Okay” I was confused. “Whose photo shoot is this?”

“This is the new Union J shoot ma’am” She said while pointing out at their names painted on the wall “Would you like to meet them? I bet you’re a fan”

“No thank you” I was looking for Dean not Union J. “I’ll just leave and let you guys do what you got to do” I said as I left the room.

 I felt bad for suspecting Dean like that. I closed the door and went outside. I saw Ryan sitting on the sidewalk while playing with his curls. As soon as he heard my footsteps he stormed up and ran my way.

“Are you okay? What happened?” He asked instantly.

“It was a false alarm, it’s just a Union J photo shoot” I smiled and then hugged him tightly

“Thank you for coming with me, Ryan. It really means a lot” I spoke as I buried my face in his chest.

“I will always be here for you” He replied as he kissed my head

It was really sweet of Ryan to come with me. He didn’t have to but he didn’t anyways.

“I owe you big time” I smiled as I broke from his string arms that were locked around my waist.

It was 6 pm and I was sitting on my bed trying to comprehend what happened. I grabbed my phone and dialed Dean’s number. I wanted him to come over so that I would give him the present I got him. On our way home Ryan and I stopped by a jewelry story. I bought a heart necklace that is cut in half. I would take half the heart and Dean would take the other. It was really cute and simple, nothing too fancy or too cheesy. Ryan and I got 2 bracelets that had the same idea. It was a girl and a boy holding hands. I took the girl and he took the boy. It was a symbol of the great friendship we had, a reminder that what we had was true and honest.

“Hello, love” Dean answered after a few rings.

“Hey, there” I replied with relief that he answered not some girl “I was wondering if we can go out tomorrow” I asked

“I was thinking the same thing” He excitedly answered “Any ideas?”

“How about we go to that cute restaurant right by the shop?” I asked. There was a cute little restaurant around the corner from where I worked. I heard it was magnificent, I never tried it though. There’s a first time for everything, right?

“That would be amazing” He answered “Pick you up at 5?”

“Yes, sir” I joked then wished him goodnight. I was excited for tomorrow; I haven’t seen Dean in almost a week. I really did miss him.
