Lucy watches as Farah plays on the grass out the front of her childhood home, when her phone rings. 'Agent Tara.' She answers as she keeps an eye on Farah. 'Lucy.' Jane's voice comes through the phone. 'What's up?' Lucy asks, watching as Farah kicks a soccer ball towards her. Lucy kicks the ball back towards Farah. Not hearing a reply, Lucy pauses. 'Jane?' She questions, kicking the ball back and forth between her and Farah. 'We found Farah's parents.' Something in her tone made her stop. 'Farah, baby why don't you go play on the swing?' Lucy asks, watching Farah run off. 'He killed them didn't he?' Lucy asks, moving to still keep an eye on Farah. 'Yes, Lucy. A Social Service Member will be in touch with you.' Lucy nods, watching as Kate exits the house, handing the bear to Farah. 'I have to go, i'll talk to Kate.' Lucy puts a mask up as Jane hangs up, Lucy following in suit. 'Go sit in the car, Farah.' Kate asks, moving to Lucy's side. 'Her parents have been found, Kate. She needs a home permanently. They're gone.' Lucy states, looking up at Kate. Both instantly look at Farah, and the severity of the situation hits. 'Are we going to do this, Kate?' Lucy asks, moving to lean against Kate. 'We should be able to. We'll tell her soon.' Kate answers, kissing Lucy's hair. Both took a breath before entering the car.

Entering the house, Kate and Lucy, set about putting the shopping away, leaving the books and clothes on the counter. 'How about you put your pillow, bear, books and clothes in this room?' Kate asks, moving to help the child gather the items and leading her into the spare bedroom. 'Thank you, for taking me in, Kate. It means a lot.' Farah states, moving to sit on the bed. 'I know, they aren't here anymore.' Farah mumbles, causing Kate to instantly sit on the bed. 'Lucy, come here please.' She calls, pulling Farah into her arms. Lucy appears in the doorway. Her eyes took in the sight. 'Hey, Farah, what's up?' Lucy asks, moving to kneel in front of the pair. 'I know my parents aren't alive anymore.' Farah states, leaving Kate and Lucy speechless. 'My uncle threatened to kill them, if he didn't get what he wanted.' Farah finished. Kate frowns as the child silently cries, holding her tight. 'I might make us coffee and Farah a hot chocolate.' Lucy states, moving towards the kitchen.

After making the drinks, Lucy hears Kate and Farah exit the bedroom, Farah now dressed in a pair of shorts and a button down. Handing the drink to Farah, who smiles softly and takes the drink. 'Can we watch the water?' Farah asks, looking over at the window. 'Of course, I'll get the chairs ready.' Kate states, moving towards the door. Opening the door, Kate keeps her eyes on the task. 'How about you go choose a book to read with us?' Lucy asks Farah, who nods, handing the mug back to Lucy. Gathering all the mugs, Lucy steps onto the balcony. 'Kate?' Lucy asks, setting the mugs down. 'I'm okay, Lu.' Kate answers, kissing Lucy sweetly. Lucy smiles softly, before pulling Kate to her. 'She will be okay, Kate. We'll be there for her.' Lucy states, kissing Kate's nose. 'Whatever happens now, Farah will always have us beside her.' Kate nods slightly, pulling away as Farah steps onto the balcony. 'Hey there, Sweet Girl.' Lucy states, watching as Farah finally makes the connection. 'You two are together? Like my mom and dad were?' Farah asks, holding her new copy of 'Fantastic Mr Fox' as she looks between the two of them. Kate nods softly, bending down to Farah. 'Is that okay with you?' She asks, tucking dark locks behind Farah's ear. 'Of course. My parents didn't raise me to be judgemental.' Farah answers. Lucy smiles slightly as Farah moves towards her, taking a seat on her lap. 'Is this okay?' Farah asks, as Kate sits next to the pair. 'Any time sweet girl.'

After sitting outside for a couple of hours, Farah curled up in Lucy's lap as she reads 'Fantastic Mr Fox' aloud, Kate stands and makes her way into the kitchen to prepare dinner. As she prepares dinner, she keeps an eye on the pair, watching as Lucy allows Farah to read aloud, occasionally helping the child with words. Kate had seen Lucy with Julie and knew she was good with kids, but never realised how good. Seeing Lucy with Farah was like seeing a whole new side of Lucy and Kate felt herself falling even further in love with Lucy. Moving to set the table, she looks up hearing the pair return inside, Lucy carrying all three mugs from earlier and Farah moving to sit on the couch, completely engrossed in her book, almost at the end of it.

Smiling Kate moves to wrap her arms around Lucy's waist as she washes up the mugs. 'You're good with her.' Kate whispers as she places a quick kiss to Lucy's neck. Feeling a little arm wrapped around their waists, Kate and Lucy both look down. 'Did you finish your book, Little Bug?' Lucy asks, smiling down at the child, both parting to allow the child to stand between them. Farah nods excitedly 'can we read another book together soon?' She asks, as Kate moves back to the stove to serve dinner. 'We can start another one after dinner?' Lucy asks, moving to help get things ready for dinner. 'Because I think Kate is almost done cooking dinner, so I think we should go wash up?' Lucy asks, receiving a nod from the child.

Farah ducks off to her room in their house, putting her book back on the dresser and taking a moment to choose a book to start after dinner, eventually settling on 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' Heading into the bathroom, Farah washes her hands before returning to the kitchen, hair tie in hand. 'Can someone please tie my hair back?' She asks softly, holding the scrunchie in her hand. Kate moves over to Farah who sighs softly. 'Is this something your momma used to do before dinner?' Kate asks gently as she pulls Farah's hair into a messy ponytail. Feeling Farah nod, she smiles sadly at Lucy over Farah's head. 'She used to tie it up, so it would end up in my food. Some strands used to anyway. Even more so when my daddy did my hair, he really didn't know how to do hair.' Farah explains, earning a light laugh from both women. 'My mom was hopeless at doing my hair, my dad on the other hand loved doing my hair and was actually pretty good at it.' Kate replies with a soft smile. 'Now how about we eat so you and Lucy can get stuck into your next book?' Kate quizzes, earning nods from Lucy and Farah.
