Pitch's Nightmares were circling around the guardians who were in North's sleigh. Jack flew over them, somewhat ready to attack. Jack easily sensed that Pitch was angry with his betrayal, but Jack stopped caring. Having bound with the guardians, in some way, he realized Pitch isn't the spirit he believed him to be. Instead he started to freeze the Nightmares. This pissed off Pitch even more.

Besides Jack, Sandy also had big hit count. His dream sand neutralised the Nightmares with ease. Pitch took notice of this soon, he conjured an arrow, aiming for Sandy. But Jack blasted the arrow. Pitch followed with more arrows, aiming for Sandy, but Jack destroyed them. Starting to get overwhelmed with them, Jack himself got hit with one.

The nightmare sand of the arrow started to wrap around Jack. The frost spirit started to struggle before emitting ice magic, shattering the sand off his body. He breathed heavy. Pitch and Sandy, as well as the guardians were impressed with this. But Pitch kept focused and shot another one at Sandy. Unlike Jack, Sandy couldn't fight it and got destroyed. Seeing this, Pitch chuckled darkly.

...

The guardians surrounded candles, holding hands and mourned Sandy. The elves chimed their bells slowly, and Jack was watching from afar. He never heard of a Spirit dying. Not only that, but why didn't kill the arrow him? Maybe it is because of Sandy's powers. He originated this sand, Pitch corrupted it. Jack does not have powers related to this sand... but to Pitch's nightmare sand. He still has his nightmare powers. Maybe that is the reason?

...

Even though they were sad by Sandy's death, the guardians decided to continue and started to prepare Easter. Which means they saw Bunny's warren. It was colorful, but the sentient eggs that featured legs weirded them out. Jack not so much, but he is buddies with Reapers, death spirits. They are supposed to be creepy, but honestly, they are just the biggest weirdos according to Jack.

They made their way to the main area... and were surprised by a girl beingt here. Sophie, Jamie's sister. Wondering how she is here, North noted he is missing a portal globe. This caused Bunny to be a bit pissed. At first, they tried to just do the preparations with her here, but the more the guardians revealed how little they know how to interact with children, and the more tired Sophie grew, they decided to send her back. Jack volunteered for this. One of the tooth fairies accompanied him.

...

As soon as they arrived in Sophie's home, Sophie fell asleep. Jack took his leave when he suddenly heard a voice, calling his name. Something told him to follow it, so he did. He flew and followed the voice. He found himself near a lone bed. The bed radiated an uncomfortable familiarity out and Jack did not like it. He made the mistake of stepping closer and was sucked in.

He found himself in a dark space he recognized as Pitch's style of a lair. He noted that the tooth fairy, he started to call her Baby Tooth, was irritated by something. He followed her. They flew though the liar until they found many cages, and many tooth fairies in them. They weren't able to anymore. This lack off power started to affect Baby Tooth who climbed into Jack's hood of his hoodie.

Jack soon spotted the mountains of teeth capsules. He tried to find his one...

"Looking for something, Jackie?"

He turned around and saw Pitch standing as tall as ever. Holding his tooth capsule. He stepped closer to Jack, surrounded by his Nightmares.

"Jack, Jack, Jack, I do not understand you. Why did you join the Guardians?", wondered Pitch, "If they would knew, about our past, oh well. I assume you aren't here to return to my side. Oh well."

He then threw the capsule to Jack who caught it. Baby Tooth sensed it and climbed out of the hood, onto his shoulder. Jack looked to Pitch with a questioning look.

"As a sign for my good will, Jack."

With that, Pitch left, leaving Jack to his own devices.

...

Jack returned to the warren. But something was off, everything was silent. Walking around, he found shattered eggs. And an angry Bunny.

"You shouldn't have gone! Because of you, my eggs are shattered, Easter ruined!", yelled Bunny.

Toothiana wanted to disagree, but she saw the capsule extending out of the pocket.

Jack, where did you get that?", she asked, "And where is Baby Tooth?"

Jack wanted to answer that she fell asleep in his hoodie, again, but Bunny didn't give him a chance to answer.

"Simple! He traded her against that box! He never wanted to be guardian, remember?", he yelled, "And have you noted? Pitch acted different to him, not to mention, the arrow. Jack survived it. Sandy, not..."

Jack fled.
