Princess Mayah came up with an idea which was anathema to Lily but to please her Mistress, she had to accept and prayed it would work out as planned. Princess Mayah through her novel reading, got some cool and crazy ideas on how to flee from home. In the novels, it was more of the protagonist fleeing from home to meet a lover but in the case of Princess Mayah, she was yet to find true love and needed to flee from home and find her one true love and also to prove it to her parents.

The third day was about to come to an end. Lily hid some maiden clothes in her tummy and passed through the guards at the entrance of Princess Mayah's room.

“My princess, I am here with some clothes and a rope.” Lily said as she spotted Princess Mayah on the bed, covered with her thick blanket. She walked closer since there was no response and removed the blanket. What she saw was unthoughtful, fear griped her, and she almost screamed when Princess Mayah from behind, cover her mouth tight.

“Shhh… I am still here! Do not shout!” Princess Mayah whispered and Lily nodded. Just then, there was a knock at the door and both ladies, freeze. They glance at each other and immediately, Lily hid the rope and maiden clothes under her Mistress bed, while Princess Mayah, comported herself and walked to check who it was.

Before Princess Mayah would reach, another knock was heard followed by a deep voice, “My Princess, are you okay? We heard a tiny scream from your room. Do you need the Queen assistance?” the voice asked, and Princess Mayah rolled her eyes.

She signaled Lily to remove the arrangement on the bed because, the guards will surely want to scan the room.

“I am okay! Why do you worry yourself so much of my well-being?” Princess Mayah opened the door for the guards to peep through. They looked around the room and only got a glance of Lily dusting the bed, then they returned their stare back at Princess Mayah who was at their front. The Princess knew that if she did not let them take a proper look at the room, they will not value her statement.

“But we heard a scream. A faint scream, rather, from your room.” One of the guards said and moved his gaze at Lily.

“Yes you did. I was practicing some dance moves when I missed a step. Lily thought I was going to reach the floor, so she screamed. As you see, I am okay. If any visitor wishes to see me, tell him or her that I have retired to bed and need to get enough rest. It is quite late, do you not think so?” Princess Mayah asked and the two guards nodded.

“Good night, Princess.” Princess Mayah nodded and shut the door behind her.

“You have to be careful how you make noise.” Princess Mayah frowned and Lily grinned.

As the Princess approached Lily, “I am sorry. I was only scared that you left without taking me along.” Lily responded regretfully in her voice.

“I arranged it so! Anyone who sees the arrangement will think I am asleep and will not worry. And before the truth will be figured out, we must have already gotten off the Island.” Princess Mayah whispered to Lily while taking off her Royal jewelries.

Lily walked closer to help her change. She loosened the lace at the back and the gown dropped. She helped the Princess dress up into the maid clothing and covered her head with a long black lace. They both arranged the bed back in order and Lily tied the rope to the bed stand, then Princess Mayah climbed down gently with the rope through the window.

Due to the way Princess Mayah landed roughly, the racket attracted four guards towards the direction. Lily was on the lookout, and immediately she spotted the guards, she looked around helplessly and suddenly thought of something. Slash! Lily threw a flower vessel on the ground from the window and signalled Princess Mayah to hide.

“My princess, are you okay?” One of the guards, asked.

Lily, pretending to be the Princess, hid her face and replied, “Yes, sorry! Lily will take care of that soon.” Her voice was a bit shaky, but no one will notice since she was up and the guards were down. Princess Mayah smiled as she overheard Lily pretending to be her. She couldn't help but chuckle in the hideaway.

“Okay!” The guards replied and began to talk to each other. They never thought the Princess was close to them, so they talked freely among themselves.

“The princess can be so silly at times.” One commented and Princess Mayah frowned.

“That is all you should expect from Royalties. She is pretty, but other girls of her age got picked during courting.” Another guard uttered, and Princess Mayah folded her hands into a fist.

“How dare them?” She muttered to herself.

“Who is there?” One guard not far from Princess Mayah's hideout shouted. Immediately, she used her hand, to her mouth. And was so scared of getting caught up.

“Come back, I did not hear anything. Did you?” He asked the other two, and they shook their head.

The guards went back to their post and Princess Mayah came out but was heedful not to get caught up. She signaled Lily and they both smiled as plan A, was a success.

For the next plan, Lily hid the rope and some other things Princess Mayah requested for. Since it was almost night, it would be difficult for anyone to suspect or notice any strange activity. The rope and other things were placed under a basket of spoiled flowers from Princess Mayah's room. Lily walked pass the guards as norm. She hesitated her steps and finally met with the Princess at the agreed spot. Now the problem they had was on how to escape from the palace gate. It was well protected with plenty of security and everyone must be searched before going in or out of the palace. The guards were too much, and it won't be easy for them to flee.

“I am so scared, my Princess. What if we get caught? I am afraid of what people might say.” Lily whispered, and Princess Mayah grabbed her hair. It made Lily eyes to widen in shock.

“Quite your nonsense.” Princess Mayah arranged herself well and stepped out of the hideaway before Lily could stop her. She was determined to leave the palace and since it was already dark, it would be so easy to escape.

Lily hurried her steps and, as planned, she was the one to distract the guys while Princess Mayah escapes. Unfortunately, things made a U-turn as one of the guards, stretched out his light and saw a shadow.

“Who is there?” The manly voice of the guard was loud and bold.

Lily stopped talking and went mute while stumbling in fear, Princess Mayah swallowed hard and dared not to look up. The guards' attention was diverted to Princess Mayah and Lily tried to think of something, but immediately one of the guards pulled Princess Mayah, Lily lost it.

“Don’t you dare drag her like that!” Lily yelled, and all eyes were on her.
