I stared longingly out the window, for what was once mine. The quiet brick house standing on three acres of fresh, green grass, was calling to me. The house where I had been bandaged up by my mom, when I had fallen off my electric scooter. The house in which I had drawn self portraits with my father. The house where I had learned to sew with my mother. It was all gone. I won't ever see it again. I looked at my beautiful house. I had all my memories stored in such a little, perfect house. You really never now how valuable something is until it's gone. As the engine started, a single, fat, delicate drop of water, escaped my eye, and slipped down my cheek. I caught it and looked at the crystal-clear droplet. It was such a tiny thing, but it was beautiful and pure. Just like everything in this world should be, but they are not. The world was an ugly place, filled with terrible, cold-hearted things. It was filled with evil. The car ride felt like days had passed. Finally, we entered Marietta, Georgia and took a sharp left turn into the woods. We drove on a barely visible path until we reached an empty road. "Are you sure this is the right way dad?" I asked. "Yes Honey. "said my father. Soon we turned onto a large driveway highlighted by golden candles flickering in lampposts. Following the lampposts was a towering, marble mansion. I didn't know something so gorgeous could even exist, but what I also didn't know was that there are always consequences. Everything in this world has a bad side as well as a bright one...
