The searing hot sun  glared down at you as you sat on the ground. Tang read a book at the passenger's seat, waiting for Pigsy to finish checking the car. Mo lay lazily on your lap as you desperately tried to get at least one bar of reception on your phone.

Alas, to no avail, there was no reception. You could not call any of your friends or bosses. Who will take care of your cat? Your roomie is hellbent on capturing your friend and your partner. He is too busy doing that to take care of Michi, even though she's also partly his cat too.

You stood up with a groan. Mo jumped off your lap and looked up to you with a meow. You held up your phone, still trying to get a few bars. Sweat dripped down your forehead as the blaring sun hit your face with all its might. You stood on your tippy toes and held up your phone even higher.

You stumbled forward a bit, catching yourself before you fell. You squinted up at your phone.

Two bars.

You tried to hold your phone higher and higher in an effort to gain another bar. Your muscles started to ache from the strained position you were in. Your palms were getting sweatier and sweatier each second the sun hit your hands.

In the end it was all fruitless.

You sat back down with a groan, hands holding up your face as you let out a frustrated sigh. Mo crawled up to you and meowed, looking concerned.

"I'm fine, just... just tired, I guess. Go back inside, it's hot out here." You waved him off and he hesitantly walked away, occasionally glancing back to make sure you were okay.

You curled up into a ball and sighed again, anger and worry swirling around in your mind. You have no idea what has become of your friends, your cat, and the only working arcade version of Minecraft Dungeons. God, did you waste so much money trying to beat it twice. Even had the pile of cards to prove it.

Your cards! Can't forget about those too.

Shaking your head, you chuckled at the silly thought. Still it didn't make you feel any better.

You felt someone's hand on your shoulder You turned to look at them and said, "I'm fine-"

Your eyes met cold, blue ones.

You jumped up and quickly shrugged him off. The Mayor stood between you and the van. All you could do was scream for help.

He laughed, "Aw, did I scare you?"

Adrenaline pumped through your veins as you quickly thought of your next move. You took a step back, and he stepped forward.

"You know my lady requested that I bring you to her. Said she needed you for something."

He leaned forward, hand outstretched, as he kept taking longer strides than you, getting closer and closer.
