Love, Hate and Speed (Max Verstappen)

Part 11: the truth

It was Max and Angel's last morning in Greece before leaving for Mexico.

"Morning mijn liefje." (my darling) Max whispered as Angel turn in his arms.

"Morning my handsome racer." Angel said kissing him.

"How did you sleep liefie?" he asked.

"I slept well it's always hard leaving home." She whispered.

"I know love. I don't want to leave ether, but we need to go to Mexico. In 8 weeks, we will be back home in Monaco, just us." Max said.

"Yaa..."

"Angel darling what is troubling you. You've been acting odd since Turkey two weeks... Talk to me." Max said. When she didn't answer he asked the question he feared the most. "Is their someone else."

"No... no Max. Why would you even think that?" Angel asked.

"I don't know. You've been acting oddly and then when we all had breakfast the morning after the gala you and Charles were whispering, then left for like twenty minutes. When I came looking for you, you two were hugging." Max said.

"Max there is nothing going on between me and Charles or me and any man. There is something that I need to tell you... that I was going to tell you if a few weeks but... um..." Angel said as tears started running down her face.

"Angel if you don't want to tell me I won't push you, but please you being so quiet and not talking to me is hard." He said.

"I'm pregnant." Angel whispered out.

"What?"

"I'm pregnant, and you're the father." Angel said crying harder.

"I'm going to be a dad?" Max asked, Angel just nodded. "You don't seem happy?"

"I am happy. I've always wanted to be a mother and to do that with you is a nether blessing, but I don't know what to do. I just signed a new contract for with FiA and I'm the CEO of RedBull racing. I'm so scared that I will one day put work above the baby like my mother and father did to me and my siblings." Angel answered honestly.

"Angel you will be the best mother." Max said.

"Thank you. Are you happy?" Angel asked.

"Angel I'm over the moon. Yes, it is very early in our relationship, but I love you and I will love this baby more than anything. You know I want kids and to do it with you is amazing." Max said.

"Did you just say you love me?" Angel asked softly giggling.

"Angelina Agathangelou, I have loved you since the day we meet. My first race in formula 3 was the first time I knew that I loved you. Because you are my boss and my friend, I could never admit that I loved you. Then you started dating Lewis, then you broke up with Lewis. And I final get a chance to show you what love actually is." Max said.

"Max, I love you too and I'm so happy to be having your baby."

"We will find a way to deal with your workload. But for now, let's focus on us." Max said.

"AND you bring home a championship." Angel added causing both of them to laugh.

"Your bringing me a child and I will bring you a championship boss." Max said jokingly.

"You such a pain in the ass." Angel whispered softly hitting him.

"But I'm your pain in the ass." Max jokingly added.

"Yes you are."
