Synopsis/plot: Mike's shopping for the 1983 snowball
(This is back in season 2)

"MIKEE COME ON!" Karen yelled.
Michael sat up, "COMING!"— God. He whispered to himself.
The boy arrived downstairs with what looks to be 200 bucks in his hand.
Karen was baffled, "Michael."
"Uh.. yeah?" He replied with tone.
"Do you have a wallet or something?" The puzzled mother asked.
Michael in fact did have a wallet, but the problem was it had pictures of El inside, he did not want his mother to find out about his secret girlfriend.
Michael shook his head, "no, I don't"
Nancy chuckled in the background of the conversation, "Mike, yeah you do. I saw you bring it in after you came back from the arcade with Lucas."
Karen grabbed her keys and proceeded to walk outside, "whatever, let's just go and get this over with."
At the store
As they walked through the store Michael saw some suits that did really catch his eye, he picked out two, a brown one, and a red one.
"Why not the traditional colors, like black or white?" Karen asked.
Michael snarled, "that's classic and boring. You just don't understand, I need to look good!"
His mother shrugged and continued to walk around with him.
"So.. if you don't mind me asking, are you going to ask anyone to dance? Or are you just going with your friends?" She questioned.
The freckled boy got defensive, "why do you want to know?"
His mother chuckled, "that answered my question.. what's her name?"
Michael felt queasy, "uhm.. well, her name is Jane.. i don't think her dad will let her go though."
"Do you like Jane?" She gently elbowed her tense son.
"Yes." He snapped.
They continued to shop around, and Karen continued to bug Mike about "Jane." They eventually narrowed all the "maybe" outfits to one, and that special one was the brown suit. She also bought him a grey sweater, and some new shoes for the next semester of school.
When they got home Mike rushed to his room to check on El to see how she's doing.
