the rain hitting the window brought may such peace. more peace than she had in the last three months. the days went by in a blur, and she was sure she wasn't even fully here. michael was out but blowing her phone up every chance he got. it was the thought and reassurance that she loved but all that couldn't fix the pain in her heart that has attached itself to her. she scrolled through the clothing app, closing it after a minute.
michael: i'm going to get some food sent to the house for you, please eat something may. please.
may: i will.
michael: i love you
may: i love you too x
within seconds there was a knock at the door, looking at the ring camera app she watched the girl take a picture of her food and then walk off the steps. may got up and went down the hall to grab the food and sit on the couch. she decided to turn on some get ready with me videos on youtube, trying to get the energy to do something. to do anything really. the smell of tacos rose from the bag as she opened it and her stomach growled. she ate and watched a girl do a 'sunday reset' and she was actually a bit inspired to do something with her life.
may: hey baby, random but ... do you think you can pick me up some bath salts and a foot spa thingy?
michael: got you baby. is it for me because my feet are killing me lol
may: grab two then, we can have a mini spa night. hopefully you'll get here before my motivation meter runs out.
michael: i'll get it sent there just incase
may: thank you, i'll send you the money for it now.
michael: no need, just know that there's some new games coming out within the next month lmao
may: i got you boo ;)
may finished eating, watching the girls' videos until there was another knock and notification. she sped walked to the door this time, smiling as she retrieved the things off her porched.
walking back to the living room she tried to map everything out. going up to the floating shelf that sat just under the tv, she lit the candle and kissed the vase that was a few inches away.
"i told you i'd do something today."
