Give me a Break!

"I know, now that we are talking about our life together. Before you go ahead and tell your family about your decision. I want to let you know that I'm going to continue working after we get married. It will be for your own good also, it's extremely important for me, that I remain independent." said Neha over a call with Karan. 

8 years later!

"I'm so sick of my job! Babe, I'm seriously thinking of quitting. I just can't take this shit anymore." 

This was the umpteenth time, this ranting was happening. Neha had been working for almost 8 years now, in an extremely stressful environment. She practically didn't have time for anything. The job she took after getting married at the age of 25 years, was to make sure that she doesn't end up being stuck at home and cooking meals(which she hated). She had always visioned herself to be financially independent. So, in a way, she is living her dream through the job she has. 

An opportunity knocked on their door not just once but twice. Neha and Karan always believed that if an opportunity knocks twice at your door, that means that you better get off your ass and answer the door.

"Are you sure about this move? You are not realising Neha the gravity of this situation. I hope you do realise that you will have to leave your friends, family, this house that we have finally managed to build after 8 years of hard work and sacrifices. What about your work? You love your work!" Karan reasoned out. 

"Oh! don't worry about my job. I'll quit and now I have the perfect reason to resign without burning my bridges :) On top of that for years now, I have been thinking of taking a break and I will find something there. Don't worry about me, I think it will be a good opportunity for you and your career." Neha said hopefully, looking at Karan. 

But Karan saw through Neha's desperation. He knew that there was no point in reasoning anything out with Neha at this point.
