"See ya on the other side!"

I giggled softly at his childish antics.

"Yeah, see you."

Welcome to the Neo World Program......

"This quality looks like a rotisserie chicken's ass."

We were standing in the other world, and those eight words accidentally came out of my mouth. Luckily, no one commented on my own.

Right now, it was just me, Shuichi, Kiibo, Himiko, Kaito, and Tsumugi in the world.

"This... is..." Shuichi muttered.

"So this... is the Virtual World?" Kaito asked.

"It seems like... it's completely different from what we were told..." Tsumugi said.

"Although, I do agree with Y/N! These graphics are really disappointing! How's this supposed to be better than the real world!?" Himiko yelled angrily. "These avatars are really disappointing, too! I wanted to have the face of a supermodel!"

"I thought you liked your face..." Shuichi reminded.

"I still have a robot body. I must admit, I was secretly expecting more..." Kiibo complained.

I looked down at my hands. "It looks like my gloves are part of my body."

"But... it feels weird. I can move this avatar like I could my own body, right?" Kaito asked. "And with this body, I don't have to worry about all that stuff..."

"What stuff?" Shuichi tilited his head.

"Uh... no, it's nothing." Kaito replied hastily.

Hmmmmm???

Maki joined the world. She looked around before sighing.

"I want to go back."

"Th-That was quick..." Shuichi commented.

Kokichi and Gonta joined the world.

"Mako!"

"Hi hiii!"

I walked over to him and stood rather close to him.

"Ooohh, so this is the Virtual World. I see, I see." Kokichi gushed. "And this is my avatar. Mm-hm, mm-hm. I get it now."

Seeing his usual, cheery self made my heart flutter. I understood my feelings, but I just keep wondering... Why am I feeling this now?

Kokichi walked over to Kiibo and punched his face.

"Ouch! What did you do that for!?" Kiibo asked angrily.

"Ooh, so that hurt." Kokichi said.

"Oh, well, now that you mention it... I felt genuine pain just now..." Kiibo mentioned.

"That's pretty impressive. If you felt pain, then that means our senses are connected." Kokichi explained.

"Our senses are connected?" Maki asked.
