Kendall is such a relatable main character and I loved every single moment of it.
Vincent. The name says it all, hoenstly and definetly my favorite character. Third chapter in and the guy already has me at his feet. Like I like to call him, he's a version of Joshua Templeman from "The Hating Game" but even sweeter in some ways. Also, let's apreciatte Vincent and dirty talk, because he sure knows how to do it and I was there for it every step of they way.
She's a familiar character, in the sense that as you read you laugh along the way by coming to the realization that you'd do or say the same thing as Kendall.I love the fact she's a virgin and reads smut like 70% of the population of Wonderland Wattpad.
One thing to have in mind is that Kendall loves to self-sabotage herself. Ok, sometimes she infuriates me especially with topics associated to Vincent, but it's not on porpuse. It's ok to have an opinion and to express it, but the way you do it is far more vital. I believe books were made to make us all compassionate and considerate of others, and it's also why I incentivate reading. Our society truthfully does need to be more comprehensive.
I liked the fact that, as a couple, they see a problem and try to work it between them. I liked that they learned that communication is key and it just deepens the intimacy about their relationship.
An interesting reading, to say the least. Perhaps a little rushed, at times, but it's the kind you'll love it either way and find to be boldly hilarious. I believe it was eye-opening. We, as readers, I know because I do it, sometimes relate so much with books: our fears, our dreams, our lovers, our kinks. Everything. And this books breaks down a little the impact it has on us. How our standarts sometimes are way too fucking high or how we are never content with what we have because it feels like nothing compared to a character or whatever. I think this book had an hilariously hypocritice message that I grew to love: sometimes we need to stop reading and just live.
Their glow up as a couple is communication. And fuck it, was it hot. Their dialogue is also so freaking good.
Loved this book!
