This is a dual POV story with a timeline set on two parts: present and past. Either way, the author indicates it at the start of every chapter.
Regarding the author, I dare to say she made a brilliant piece of art with words. The deep prologue just sucks you into this trip of introspectation, causing a powerfully positive impression. In all honestly, I would highlight the whole damn book!
The story is centered around Addie and Zac. As the plot starts, you realize that Addie is in a transitional phase. She's leaving her past behind and reaching for a brighter future in a different place, which is comprehensible when you get a sniff of the tea family's background story holds.
Zac has such a subtle sweet-talk that butterflies are prominent throughout the book. His level of flirting is just .. uff! He's such gentleman. Basically, the fucker just made my expectations and standarts about men raise even more.
I personally love how the author played with all the characters lifestyle. They all go through changes along the reading and it's comforting to see the realness behind it. It not only deepened the character but provided the reader a relatable "situation", therefore making the story not feel like it was all about romance but also the other topics floating around (grief, growth), letting the love blossom in sneaky ways.
Everything was brilliantly done. The characters, the plot, the twists, the writting. There's not an inch of an error in the whole damn book.

Official synopsis of the book:
Addie May knows loss like no one else and when she has nothing left for her in Beverly Hills, she flees to Texas where she meets Zac Ryan, the one man who might change it all. But Texas holds more than just the potential for romance. It holds part of her past, a new beginning and perhaps, it might just be meant for her.
"Can I offer you something to wear to bed?" His tone was low and quiet. "A t-shirt?"
"That would be great actually," I said, steadying my uneven breath.
His eyes dropped to my shoulder where the strap of my dress had fallen again. I felt his fingertips on my skin as he lifted it and slid it back into place. "No problem," he murmured, his lips barely parting to let the words out. "Wouldn't want to wrinkle this beautiful dress."
