On the way back to Hogwarts, I sat with Draco, Pansy, and Blaise. Of course Harry had a lot to say in protest but I payed him no mind. Draco had gotten up to put away our bags when I noticed Harry peaking around the corner. "I'll be back." I say quickly before getting up and walking over to Harry, pulling him aside."What are you doing?" I whisper yell.
"Spying on Malfoy. He's obviously a Death Eater!" Harry whispers back, matching my tone. I scoff before walking out. Was Harry wrong? No...but when Harry has a theory, he'll stuck his nose everywhere it doesn't belong to get an answer and I cant be there when he does. Walking back to the group I sit opposite Draco, next to Pansy. Before anybody could say anything, a thick black cloud of smoke filled through the air. Fanning my face, I look around to see where it came from. "Draco sit down. It's probably just some first year messing around." Pansy speaks to Draco who was now on edge. "Come on, Draco. Sit down. We'll be at Hogwarts soon." I agree with Pansy. He looks around once more before sitting in front of me.
"Hogwarts. What a pathetic excuse for a school." Draco speaks, wrinkling his face. "I'd pitch myself off the Astronomy Tower if I had to continue for another two years." I add. Was I joking? Nope. Did I say it as a joke? Maybe. "What's that supposed to mean?" Pansy elbows me. I share a look with Draco before nodding. "You won't be seeing us wasting time in Charms next year." Blaise laughs quietly. "Amused Blaise? We'll see just who's laughing in the end " Draco rolls his eyes before they trail up to up above. Harry.

The train pulls into the station at Hogwarts as everyone prepares to leave. I watch as Blaise and Pansy get up to leave before turning back to Draco and I who were still seated. "You guys coming?" Pansy asks. I shake my head, "We'll be out in a minute. I need to speak to Draco. Privately." I add. They nod before leaving. Draco stares at me as I stand up and grab my bag. "Did you get the mark yet?" I ask, opening my bag and digging for a small vile. He tenses up at me asking. "Well, if you did, or didn't, either way you should rub this on it." I continue. He looks at the small vial of cream that stops the mark from itching. I made it myself after years of dealing with the itch. Taking the vial he slips it into his pocket before standing up, taking his bag down as well. I lean against the table and watch him. "Thank you n/n. You know, I'm quite hurt that you didn't owl me at all over break." He smirks, leaning against the opposite table. He puts his hand over his heart, faking a wound. "I didn't want to risk sending Venus out. You know how hectic things are right now." I respond.
He nods in understanding before pulling out a slip of paper and handing it to me. "I was going to Owl you this but decided against it. Just save it until you really need it." The blonde smiles, placing the letter in my hands. I take it gratefully, I slip it into my bag. Looking up I see his grey eyes looking down at me. "What?" I laugh slightly intimidated. "Nothing. You just look nice. The break did you well." I don't respond, instead I step closer to him and straighten his collar before locking eyes with him once more. "You don't look too bad yourself, Malfoy." I lean into his ear before he could respond. "Make sure to obliviate Harry." I whisper in his ear before leaving the train and joining Hermione and Ron outside. As I do I notice all the curtains close on the train.
"Y/n!" Hermione exclaims before hugging me. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." She adds as we meet Professor Filch at the gate. "Names." Professor Filch speaks.
"Ron Weasley."
"Hermione Granger."
He looks at me, raising an eyebrow. "Y/n L/n." I mutter. Of course that's not my real name but I can't just go around shouting that I'm a Riddle. Swiftly, I begin walking again, the others following close behind.

I'd been sitting at the Slytherin table with Pansy, Blaise, and Draco. Dinner in the Great Hall had been served and I couldn't eat. Honestly, I've just haven't been hungry recently. Ever since I got back from the Malfoy Manner those weeks ago, I just couldn't find it in myself to eat. If I did then I ended up throwing it up in the bathroom. Why? Maybe it was the guilt I was feeling. Sinking down in my seat, I let my thoughts take over my head once more.
Pansy and Blaise chatted amongst each other, not caring about anyone else. Turning my head to Draco, I notice he hasn't touched his food. I kick him under the table. "Eat." I whisper. He doesn't respond, just looks down at my plate and raises an eyebrow. "I'll eat when you do." He speaks. Accepting his challenge, I put some food in my mouth and swallowed, immediately regretting it. Ignoring the nausea I was feeling, I turned to him. "Now you." I speak. Keeping his word, he eats as well. "Good. Now we've both eaten." I smiled.
"Very best of evenings to you all." Dumbledore speaks, breaking our conversation. "First off, let me introduce the newest member of our staff...Horace Slughorn." A round of applause erupts around the hall. I clap lightly. "Professor Slughorn, I'm happy to say has agreed to resume his old post as Potions Master. Meanwhile, the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts will be taken by Professor Snape." Cheers erupt from the Slytherin table. I clap lightly as well. "As you all know, each and every one of you was searched upon your arrival here tonight. And you have the right to know why. Once there was a young man, who, like you sat in this very hall. Walked this castles corridors, slept under its roof. He seemed to all the world a student like any other. His name? Tom Riddle."
My breath hitched at those words, louder than I expected. Eyes wandered on me. "What?" I scoffed. "Today of course, he's known all over the world by another name. Which is why, as I stand looking out upon you all tonight...I'm reminded of a sobering fact. Everyday, every hour. This very minute. Perhaps dark forces attempt to penetrate this castle's walls. But in the end, their greatest weapon is you. Just something to take about. Now off to bed! Pip-pip."
Everyone starts to get up and head to their common rooms. As I overhear a conversation. "Isn't it crazy that Voldemort went here?" A girl speaks. After hearing her say 'Voldemort', my Dark Mark starts stinging causing me to yelp out in pain, shit. Many people look over, including Draco, Pansy, and Blaise.
"You alright?" Blaise questions looking at the arm I was sinking my nails into. I shut my eyes tightly, nodding with a fake smile. "Yup! Just fine!" I lie, getting up and quickly leaving the Great Hall, and walking to a quiet and empty hallway. Pulling up my sleeve, I look at the mark that was squirming around under my skin. My stomach churned looking at the sight. Scratching at the mark, tears rolling down my cheeks.
My child. His voice rings though my ears. "Please. Stop." I whimper.
Its quite rude of you to forget your father. He continues. I shouldn't have to wait until some random mudblood calls my name to get in contact with you. Now, for my order of business. You are to stay with the Malfoy boy. Help he wherever and whenever needed. I scratch at my mark harder as each word is burned into my mind, at this point my arm is bleeding pretty badly.
"N-no. I refuse to do your dirty work. You can't make me!" I spit. Haven't you learned? I am your father. I have the power. You are just my pathetic spawn! He yells, his voice ringing through my head once again. This time the pain from my mark intensifies as he speaks more. Almost like he was causing the pain intentionally. "Stop!" I shout. "You only want power. You're psychotic. You're not my father. You never will be." I cry once more, waiting for him to speak again. But he doesn't. He's gone, the pain from my mark stops suddenly. I slide down the wall, tears still coming out of my eyes.
"Y/n?" A masculine voice speaks, coming around the corner. Looking up I see Draco. "Bloody hell Y/n. What happened?" He asks, taking my bleeding arm in his hand. "He lives in my mind." I whisper, my voice raspy.
"Shit. Come on, lets go to Madam Pomfrey." Draco speaks in a tone of sympathy. I don't say anything, just taking off my robes and bunching them up in my hands, covering my arm. I cant do this anymore. I just want to be free. Free from him.
