"In Boruto's house, the day after last chapter ended"

Boruto and Sarada lay asleep in Boruto's bed. Boruto wears a blue tank top and black shorts. Sarada turns onto her side in her sleep wearing running shorts and a red tank top. Their clothes from the following day on the floor. The sound of a door getting knocked down wakes them up

Boruto: What the hell?!

Sasuke bursts into the bedroom

Sasuke: You have got to be shitting me.

Boruto: Oh f*ck.

Sasuke glares at Boruto, his hand itching to grab the gun in his holster

Sarada: Dad, you need to calm down.

Sasuke: Sarada, step outside. I just want to talk with him.

Boruto jumps out the bed and through the window. Boruto lands on his feet and jumps the fence, Sasuke watches with his jaw wide open

Sasuke: He has definitely ran from pissed off fathers.

Sarada: Dad what are you doing here?

Sasuke: I noticed you didn't come home at all yesterday. When I asked Shikadai where you were he said Boruto's house.

Sarada: God damnit, Shikadai.

Sasuke: I was also informed of Boruto's sister being mutated.

Sarada: The entire left side of her body was mutated. Jigen bit her.

Sasuke: Just promise me this wasn't a pitty f*ck.

Sarada: It was, and also wasn't. I do like him though.

Sasuke: If you learn that you actually don't like him, just tell him. Don't drag it out.

Sarada: I know. Did you kick his front door off its hinges?

Sasuke: Yes.

Sarada: Ugh. Then you're fixing it alone.

Sasuke: Why do I have to?

Sarada: Because you broke it.

Sasuke: F*ck.

"At Shikadai's house"

Boruto sits at Shikadai's kitchen table. Shikadai sits across from him. Both have bottls of beer in their hands

Boruto: Thought you said beer expires?

Shikadai: This is my own brew. My mom owned a bar that made it's own booze.

Boruto drinks it and smiles

Boruto: This is possibly the strongest thing I've ever drank.

Shikadai: So how are you feeling since yesterday?

Boruto puts the bottles down

Boruto: It feels like a part of me died. I thought she would decide to live here with all of us. I was hoping that we could start every morning arguing over what we should have for breakfast like we did as kids. I'm getting my revenge, I don't care how long it takes. I'm getting it.

Shikadai: Boruto, killing Jigen won't solve everyone's problems.

Boruto: You mean it won't solve every problem. It'll save the people being kept prisoner by Kara.

Shikadai: You're just letting rage control you.

Boruto: No I'm not. I'm always angry. I'm always in control of my rage.

Shikadai: How is alcohol helping?

Boruto: It's helping me try to forget what I saw. But when you live my life, you can never forget anything I've seen.
