Chapter 12: Candy

You got in the car. You sat in the passenger seat as Two insisted, and Smg1 got in the driver's seat. When Two got in the back with the assignments for the day, Smg1 started the car and drove down the road. You looked out at the road passing by. They lived out in the country range closeby the campus grounds. It was nice to watch the sheep grazing nearby.

Then suddenly you felt something.

Something.....strange.

It only lasted for a minute, but it soon passes. But....you felt like you had to check it out.

"H-Hey, um...."

Smg1 side-eyes you curiously. You shut up immediately. You'll just come back later.

You entered the room with your usual outfit. And with Ellie. Yapping in your dang ear.

"-And then I said, 'pardner? I hardly know 'er!' HAHAHAHAHAHA!" She laughed hysterically.

"I hate you."

"Awesome."

You roll your eyes. Despite this, you knew you needed her. Desperately. You thought about all the times she's pulled through for you. Even though most of the time you wished she wasn't there, things really wouldn't be the same without her, would it?

You bumped into someone and fell.

Crap.

"E-Eep! I'm really sorry!" You quickly yelp. But you didn't expect a dark skinned hand to be held out to you. You look at it curiously.

"Are you okay? Didn't hit your head?" The pink and red haired girl you just bumped into worried. You stare at her.

"........Y-Yeah." You stammer.

She helps you get up. "My name's Candy! What's yours?" She asked.

You couldn't answer. This girl must be new to the campus. That, or she just haven't heard of the campus weirdo yet.

Luckily, Ellie came to the rescue. "This is London! And I'm her best friend, Ellie! We're pretty much the weirdos of the school. Nice to meet you."

"London and Ellie, huh? Those are some nice names! I bet they mean something wonderful!" Candy beamed.

You didn't know what to make of this, so you just shyly walk to your seat. Ellie rattles something to Candy, and she walks over to the seat next to yours.

"Looks like we got a new friend!" Ellie cheered.

You sigh. Ellie just continues.

"Anyways, you said you had a weird feeling while you were in the car?" Ellie asked. You notice yourself get more....you don't know. Excited?

"Yeah, it was like, a strange feeling. I felt like I had to go somewhere. It felt.....important. I don't know why." You answer honestly.

"Cool. Do you think it has anything to do with your lack of memories? Y'know, before you were adopted into Cecil's family?"

".......I don't know Ellie. I really don't know."

Everyone quiets down when the professors walk into the room. They start today's lesson. Basically just learning about avatars and channeling memes into said avatar. You listen intently.

But your attention soon is directed to others around the room. You spot Candy, in a seat a little bit over. You actually took a good look at her. She was dark skinned, like the outside of a coconut. Her hair was light pink, with bright red stripes. Her fluffy hair was in a poofy ponytail. Her yellow eyes watching the professors talk about the lesson. Was she new? It would make sense...

Your train of thought was halted when you felt a pair of eyes on you. You quickly turn around.

You saw a boy with messy dark hair quickly hide his face in his book.

.....Was he staring at you?
