It was a pretty day out as Na'imah lay on her side eating a piece of mango as she watched JB writing away in his journal that he always kept on him.
Her eyes danced over his sun-kissed skin and the way his casual attire made him seem damn near camera ready. She was convinced this man could make a paper bag look good.
She admired how he made the simplest things look so attractive. Even when he occasionally bit the top of his pen in thought was sexy.
Sometimes Na'imah wondered how she got so lucky...no blessed to come across him. Since the moment they met, he has been like an angel in disguise to her. Always looking out for her. Caring for her. Loving her. Cherishing her.
In a way, she almost felt like she didn't deserve it. That he was too good for her. But yet she was quick to dismiss the thought because she knew she deserved this. Deserved him. More importantly, she deserved to be loved correctly for once in her life.
She was happier with him. He managed to do the impossible and got her to open up and be completely vulnerable. And to Na'imah that was saying a lot.
"What is it, baby?" Jaeboem suddenly asks, glancing at Na'imah whose eyes he felt practically burning a hole into the side of his face.
Na'imah was almost certain she felt a heartbeat between her legs as he said those words. She was so confused as to what was going on with her right now. "Nothing. What are you writing?"
Jaebeom let out a light laugh knowing she was lying. "Lyrics," He answers, holding up his journal where Na'imah could see a mixture of Korean and English written along the lines.
"About what?" She questions curiously, grabbing another piece of fruit and biting into it as a light breeze blew around them. They were hidden away in a secluded area in a park for a bit of privacy. Jaebeom had always said how he wanted to have a picnic date and Na'imah thought it was the perfect time to make it happen while they were here.
It was nice to finally have a day where she had him all to herself. No interruptions.
"You," He tells her honestly without missing a beat, catching Na'imah off guard.
"Say what?" Na'imah sat up and faced him. Giving him her undivided attention. She thought her ears were playing a trick on her.
"It's about you," He repeats himself, a playful smirk forming on his face at her response.
"I don't believe you. Let me see it," She demands, reaching for his journal, only to have Jaebeom move it out of arms reach.
"Nah," He states smoothly, not at all fazed by Na'imah's adorable pouting face. "It's not finished yet,"
Crossing her arms, Na'imah was quick to give up. "Fine. I'll respect that...but only if you sing for me," She smiled brightly, placing her hand on his exposed forearm. It had been a minute since she last asked him to let her hear that beautiful voice of his.
Shaking his head, Jaebeom smiled back, putting his journal aside. "And what is your request this time?"
Na'imah playfully tapped her temple in fake thought, knowing she already had a song in mind. "Hmm. How about Mariah Car-"
"No thank you, I'll pass," He swiftly interjects, going to pick the journal back up until Na'imah stopped him. Her sweet laugh filled his ears as he watched her clap her hands, being tickled by his answer.
It was one of those moments where he wished he had his camera because it was moments like this he loved to capture the most. One's where the woman he loved was the happiest and carefree. He was always so mesmerized by her natural beauty.
