If Na'imah was being honest, she wasn't sure how things went south so quickly.

One minute she was introducing JB to her childhood best friend, then trying on her bridesmaid dress to somehow being forcefully pulled away from her vile ass cousin, Aubrey.

It all just seemed to happen so fast that she felt as though it was all a dream.

"Baby...baby, please calm down...please,"

Na'imah could hear her boyfriend's words and feel his arms wrapped tightly around her waist as he dragged her into the nearest room away from the chaos. But her mind was elsewhere and she couldn't focus. Her body was filled with complete rage and all she could see was red.

Enraged was what she felt.

"It's good to see you again...sweets," Those words replayed over and over in her mind because they both knew what that nickname meant and who gave it to her...and more importantly why. Then Aubrey's cynical tone in address towards Na'imah caused her to finally snap.

Na'imah could feel her knuckles ache from her fist continuously connecting to Aubrey's face as many times as she could. She wanted that bitch to suffer and to hear her scream and plead for Na'imah to get off her only made her go harder.

All the teasing. All the unwanted threats. All the times Aubrey and her sister made Na'imah feel so low, treating her like nothing was released at that moment.

But the pain and anger still remained.

"Where is she?! Nah...move out the way... where the fuck is that bitch at?!" Na'imah immediately recognized the voice to belong to Eva. "She wanna fight somebody come fight me!"

"Let me go," Na'imah calmly said, temporarily surprising JB. "I'm not going to do anything,"

JB was quick to give her a knowing look. "You must think I'm stupid? Look at you Na'imah..." He huffs, still holding her close. "I don't want to see you in cuffs baby...please,"

The fight she had back in Korea was nothing compared to this one. Not even close. The switch Jaebeom had seen when Aubrey said those words was a little bit scary. It was a side of her he had never seen until today. A side that let him know that her so-called loved ones had scarred her deeply.

"Come out here Na'imah! Puttin yo hands on my sister wasn't the move sweetie, I promise you it wasn't!" Eva threatened as she banged on the locked door, riling up an already agitated Na'imah.

"I know it's hard but don't let her get to you," JB pleads, feeling Na'imah's body shake at her cousin's words. "She isn't worth it,"

Although Na'imah knew he was right, she still wanted to knock Ava's jaw crooked as she did to her sister. "It's hard..." Na'imah mutters, gripping JB's arms for some type of comfort. "I don't think I can go to the wedding," she tells him, ignoring Ava's warnings until someone finally pulled the little chihuahua away from the door.

"We don't have to if you don't want to,"

Na'imah opened her mouth to speak only to be cut off by a knock on the door. "Imah, Ava stupid ass called the police and they're on their way. You and JB have to leave now," Renee quickly informed them. "Just call me later when you're good ok?"

"I will," Na'imah shouted back, slumping back against JB, finally feeling her body relax after being so tensed up. Today was supposed to be a good one for her, a happy one but she should've known as long as she was in this city, that would never happen.

"Come on, let's go back to the room and get you cleaned up," JB suggests, releasing Na'imah from his arms knowing that it was now safe to do so. He hated seeing her like this however he understand why she felt the way she did. Which is why he wanted to see her happy so badly.
