"Stop moving," JB ordered, dabbing an alcohol-filled cotton ball against the scratches that decorated the left side of Na'imah's face.

"It stings." She mumbles, still trying to calm herself down from the aftermath of what took place only 30 minutes ago. "Is it bad?"

Taking a step back, JB eyed her face finding the scratches against her features to be kind of attractive. "No. They'll heal in a few days. They aren't deep enough to leave scars," He assures her, moving back into the space between her legs as he continued to clean her bruised skin.

"I can't believe that even happened," She voiced out loud, gripping the edge of her bathroom counter where she sat on top of. "And she has the audacity to press charges when she was the one who attacked me first,"

"Hey, calm down. I don't need to see you getting worked up again," He advises, giving her a serious look.

Sighing, Na'imah closed her eyes, attempting to let her frustration go but failed miserably. "That cuckoo head ass bitch really fixed her peanut sized brain into thinking I was trying to "steal" her man. Who the fuck I look like? Alicia Keys?" She fusses, not being able to control her anger. "His joke was funny, so therefore I laughed. How is me having a normal reaction to something, gets me involved in a fistfight?"

"Bab-"

"And don't get me started how weak her ass really is. Bitch punches felt like feathers brushing against my face," She continues, ignoring JB's attempt to calm her down.

"Ima-"

"Here I am trying to act civilized but no, she just had to bring the hood bitch up out me and got gifted these hands as a result. Bet she won't try that mess again,"

"Jagi-"

"Now look at her walking around with a twisted jaw and bloody nose. She's lucky I didn't poke her in the eyeballs since she can't seem to put them use to distinguish the difference between flirting and friends having innocent fun,"

Gripping her chin tightly, JB finally gained her attention. "I need you to relax for me. You're shaking right now," While he found her words to be amusing, he wasn't use to seeing her act like this. It was out of pure luck that he showed up to the store at the time that he did.

To witness Na'imah practically tossing Jusun's girlfriend around the convenience store like a rag doll as she landed hit after hit to the girl's face was something straight from a movie scene. It took both him and a stunned Jusun to pull Na'imah away from her while the battered woman wailed and scattered away from Na'imah's steady advances.

"I'm sorry but...she brought me back to a place that I never wanted to venture back to. Memories I've tried so hard to forget," She reveals, visibly shivering as incidents from her past resurfaced. Those situations back then were the main reason she knew how to defend herself now because back then, she had no choice but to learn in order to protect herself.

Her response earned a curious look from JB who debated to ask what she meant, choosing to follow his instincts for more information. "What do you mean?"

Na'imah quick to realize what she just did, went to backtrack her statement, fearing she wasn't ready to reveal her dark past...faltered once her eyes met his pleading one. "You know I won't pressure you into doing or saying anything...but baby I can't pretend as if I don't want to know who hurt you so badly back then,"

Biting her lip, her hands gripped his shirt as she had an internal battle with herself in front of him. "Jae, I-i..."

"Let me help you...please,"

Her eyes met his once more, leaving her almost speechless. She could see that he cared and that he truly wanted to help but to speak of her past into existence made her so nervous. The only person to know of her story was Renee who doesn't even speak on it directly.
