Lizzie reached across the table and grabbed the jug of orange juice before pouring her cup full of the cold liquid. She then watched Mike grab the maple syrup that was beside the juice container, and poured it all over his scrambled eggs.
Lizzie and Nancy both watched in horror at the boys actions. "That's disgusting." Nancy finally spoke up.
"You're disgusting!" Mike snapped back. Karen was about to say something to her two children, but the phone rang just in time to save her.
Lizzie watched as the women answered the phone, having a feeling she knew it was her mom to make sure she was here.
"Oh, joyce hi." Karen said, with holly attached to her hip.
The yelling of Lizzie's friend beside her brought her attention back to the table. "What the hell Mike?" Nancy snapped as her brother poured maple syrup all over her plate, just to spite her.
Lizzie would've thrown the bottle at Mike if he did that to her.
Both there parents responded to there childrens behaviour, and Lizzie just smirked at the chaotic family.
Breakfast at the wheelers was always exciting compared to at her own house. The byers family was very chill. They all got along perfectly and had calm breakfasts in the morning.
The wheelers house though? It was like a zoo.
Lizzie took a bite of her scrambled eggs and went back to listening to Karen talk over the phone to her mother.
"Will? No, it's just Lizzie." Karen responded.
Lizzie's stomach dropped.
Karen then turned around to face the table full of people. "Lizzie hunnie it's your mom." She informed the girl before gesturing the phone to her. Lizzie then got up from her seat, and walked over to Karan before taking the phone out of her hands.
"Morning mom." She said, and pressed the phone to the side of her face.
"Sweet heart did you drop will off at home last night?" Joyce asked her daughter through the phone.
Lizzie swallowed a lump in her throat. She could hear the panic in her mothers voice. "No I got here and Karen said he had already left then I spent the night." She answered.
