Chapter 4: Who Are The Book Keepers?

"Where are you taking us?" I asked the guy that was pushing me out of the room.

"Somewhere," he answered as Katie finally stopped struggling against the guy pushing her to wherever they were taking us.

"Can you tell me the specific place you are taking us?" I asked the guy.

"No," he told me pushing me forward.

"Is there anything you can tell me?" I asked getting annoyed.

"I can tell you my name is Jasper," he said.

"Ok, anything els?" I asked Jasper.

"He is Otto," he said, pointing towards the guy pushing Ashley forward. "And he is Red," he said pointing toward the guy pushing Katie forward.

"Ok... is there anything els you can tell me?" I asked.

"Nope," Jasper said.

"Why is his name Red?" I asked.

"You ask to many questions," he said then put a gag in my mouth and taped my mouth shut with duck tape. Where he got the gag and duck tape, I do not know; but after he finished I was trying to talk through it just to annoy him. It worked.

He was so angry, that by the time we got to wherever we were going he screamed at me, "SHUT UP, THE REASON I GAGED YOU WAS SO YOU WOULD SHUT UP! SO SHUT UP ALL READY!"

Dang, I did not know he would yell at me like that. Oh well, what's done is done.

After yelling at me Jasper opened the door in front of him and pushed me inside. Otto and Red did the same with Katie and Ashley. They then closed and looked the door on us.

Ok, now what? Then Elliot appeared on the other side of the room. He walked towards us and started to speak.

"Hello again, so nice of you to be here," he said.

"Like we had a choice, your goons grabbed us and brought us here against our wills and they were very rude to us," Katie said.

"Good, now let me tell you a few things while some of my other goons, as you so put it, get the machine ready," He said.

"What machine?" Katie asked.

"You'll see," he said.

"Tell us what?" Ashley asked.

"About the Book Keepers of corse," he said.

"Just get on with what you were going to tell us," I said, or at least that is what I wanted to say. It probably sounded like mumbo jumbo that no one could understand.

My theory was proven wright when Elliot asked, "What?" confused then ripped of the duck tape.

I spit the gag out and said "First of all, ow. Second, I had said just get on with what you are going to tell us."

"Ok, well it all started when I was sucked into this book. At the time, all the book wanted was a friend and the book chose me. I played with the book and we had fun together. Until one day someone els opened the book and was not supposed to, they dot sucked in. The book told me to make a machine, it told me how to build it and use it, but never told me what it did. The book told me to hook them up to the machine and to use it on them and myself. So that is what I did, I told them we were going to play a game were one of us sits in the chair and the other experiments on them. They were first. And do you know who the person was. It was my brother Otto. After that more and more people kept coming in the book. So we put them in the machine and they wanted to help us in our mission. Soon we decided to call ourselves the Book Keepers. A little while ago some of the people we capture escaped and did not have the chance to go to the machine with the help of Micalya that once was one of us but then something turned her into a bird and now she helps people to get out before we can get to them, but not this time. Now it is time for you three to be hooked up to the machine," he said.
