Before you read this chapter I suggest rereading the 2 chapters before because I took out a character and edited it a little bit. So pease reread them or you will get confused of where one of the characters went

Chapter 3: Unpleasant People

"So, what should we do now?" Ashley asked.

"We find the way out," Katie said.

"Yes, but where should we start?" I asked.

"How about we walk around and see if there is anyone around," Ashley suggested.

"Okay, let's start by going that way," Katie said pointing in some direction. So we walked in the direction Katie pointed in.

We walked for what felt like hours until finally it looked like the sun was setting.

"Do you think we can take a brake and rest for a little while? We haven't come across anyone yet and I'm getting tired?" Ashley asked out of breath.

"Yeah, we have been walking for hours. I need a break," I said agreeing with Ashley.

"Okay, we can rest for the night and then continue in the morning," Katie said.

So, I got as comfortable as I could on the ground and fell into a restless sleep.

When I woke up, I was not where I fell asleep. I was in a dark, creepy cell and I couldn't see my friends anywhere.

"Hello?" I yelled out to see if anyone was there.

"Lynne, is that you?" I heard Ashley say.

"Yes, it's me. Do you know where we are?" I asked.

"No, I was hoping you did," Ashley said. "Do you know where Katie is?"

"No, I just woke up," I told Ashley.

"Me too," Ashley said.

"Would you guys stop talking, I'm trying to sleep," Katie said.

"Katie, is that you?" Ashley asked.

"Yes, now shut up I'm trying to sleep," Katie answered.

"No, Katie wake up and help us get out of here," I said trying to get her to wake up.

"What do you mean, get out of- Oh," Katie said, apparently just opening her eyes. "Where are we?"

"We don't know, we just woke up too," Ashley said.

"This is where that stupid bird warned you about. We captured y'all while you were sleeping," a voice I didn't recognize said, then the lights turned on and I was temporarily blinded by the light. When my eyes adjusted to the light I saw a guy about our age standing there with an evil smile on his face.

"Who are you?" Katie asked.

"I am the leader of The Book Keepers and my name is Elliot and soon you all will follow me and we shall never leave this book and do as it commands us to do!" he said then left while laughing evilly.

"Okay, we need to get out of here as soon as possible that guy is crazy," Katie said.

"I agree, but how are we going to get out?" I asked.

"I don't know, does anyone have any ideas?" Katie said. Then I heard footsteps outside the door and getting closer to us.

"Guys, quiet, I think he is coming back," Ashley said quietly.

The door Elliot walked out of opened and in walked three people. Each one had a pair of handcuffs. One of them walked toward Katie, another walked to Ashley, and the other one walked to me. They stopped in front of us and opened our cells. Each one went into a different cell that had one of us in it, the one that came into my cell took my hands, put them behind my back and put the handcuffs on me. He then pushed me out the cell and the other two were pushing my friends out of their cells. Katie was putting up a fight though and kept trying to escape the guy that held her tightly.
