Chapter 5: The Great Escape

Jasper, Red, and Otto came into the room with a big mechanical looking thing and three other guys helping them push the thing in here.

"What is that?" Katie asked.

"That is the machine that we will use on you," Elliot said with an evil smile.

"Do you have to?" Ashley asked.

"Yes, and since you asked you get to go first," Elliot said.

"Um, no thanks," Ashley said nervously.

Otto started to walk towards her and was almost to us when Micayla came out of nowhere and dropped some bird poop onto Otto.

"Ew, grows," Otto said.

"Hey guys, I didn't think y'all would get into trouble that fast. Good thing I, Micalya the bird, am here to help," Micayla said putting enfaces on bird so that we know it is really her.

"Thank goodness you're here, I was starting to get a little worried," Katie said.

"Zach, Aires, Tobi, someone get them before they escape!" Elliot yelled at everyone in the room as we headed towards the door.

We went out the door we were pushed through and started running as fast as we could. We then came to a four-way split in the hallway. Dang, this is one big place.

"If we split up we have more of a chance of escaping. I'll go this way," Katie said pointing to the hall all the way to the left, then running foreword.

"I'll go this way," Ashley said nervously pointing to the one next to we're Katie just ran, then ran that way.

"I'll go this way and you go that way. And hurry!" Micayla said as she flew toward the hall next to the one Ashley just ran through and I ran through the one all the way on the right.

"Quick, I think they went this way," I heard one of the guys that were chasing us say as they all ran in my direction.

I looked for an open door. When I finally found one, I opened it and ran inside. I heard three pair of feet run past the door and breathed out a sigh of relief I did not know I was holding. Then I looked around the room I just ran in and saw a book, but it was not like the one I found on the porch in front of my house. No, this one was different. It seemed important to these people somehow. I hesitantly walked over to it.

When I reached it, it had written on it 'The Book Keeper's Guide to Everything in The Book'. I'm guessing it is important to them, so I took it. It might have something important in it. Then, as I picked it up, a loud siren went off, so I ran with the book still in my hands.

I ran as fast as I could to try and find an exit, but instead I found Otto, Jasper, and Red. I turned around and started running the other way and saw a door with light coming out of it. It looks like sunlight. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. So, I backed up and rammed into the door, successfully nocking it down and ran out the building with Otto, Jasper, Red, Zach, Aires, and Tobi chasing after me.

I ran, not looking back, until I could not run anymore. When I finally could not run anymore, I collapsed and passed out. I hope Katie, Ashley, and Micayla got out and hope those guys stopped chasing me and gave up.

When I woke up, I was happy to not be back in that cell. Instead, I was in a comfortable bed with a soft cover over me. But the question running through my head right now is where am I if the 'Book Keeper' people didn't catch me?
