Chapter 4 - True thoughts & real talk

August P.O.V.

I swear that love at first sight is real! I've never felt this way about someone before. I used to think I was in love with Alanni, we've done things that I regret doing with her. But I'm glad she's history and I can have a new start. I'm hoping that Jhene will be everything I need. Cause right now, I can't get her out of my head.

Alexus P.O.V.
I've been knowing Alanni my whole life. She's really not that bad of a person. She's just a selfish person sometimes. She can be rude at times, but she got a reason. She been through a lot of shit in her life and she don't try to be the way she is. But sometimes she piss me off too. But when you know the situation, you can't really be mad at her. I just wish she would realize that she gotta real friend by her side who will always be right there.

Jhene P.O.V.
My mom was out so I decided to just relax. I turned on Netflix, popped some popcorn, and got some lemonade. As I was watching TV, I dozed off and was knocked out. I woke up and straightened up the house. About 5 minutes later the doorbell rang. I opened the door shocked. "Uhh hey August." "Hey Jhene." "How did you find my house?" I asked confused. "I can do anything if I really want to." "what's up?" I asked August. "I came to chill. We friends ain't we ?" "Yea, yea we friends." I said as thoughts were floating through my head. "Cool. so what you doin ma?" August asked me. "Just finished this movie." I replied "Aw, what was it about?" August asked. "It's about a girl who is very talented, but never had faith in herself and didn't go after her dream until someone special came into her life and change her perspective on everything and did what she wanted to do most." I told August. He seemed very interested. "Wow. Seems legit. Mind showing me some of the movie?" August asked. "Sure, you want something to drink?" "Yes please." "Okay we got coke, root beer, dr pepper, sprite, and kool-aid." I shout. "No water?" August shout back. "Really? Okay." I say tossing him a bottle. I walk over by August sitting beside him on the couch. I try not to get too close but at the same time I tried to get as close as possible. I felt safe around August for some reason. It was a nice feeling. after about 30 minutes into the movie, August paused it and turned to me. "Jhene." August started "Yea?" I said with confused emotions. "Imma be honest with you right now. I think you are very smart, cool, talented, and very beautiful. And I know if I knew you a little more that the list of things you are would be longer. And I want to get to know you in and out of school. But mostly out. So I was wondering if ... if you would like to go on a date with me?" August asked. My heart was pounding and my head was spinning. I was shocked almost paralyzed in the moment. But of course I said "Yes. I would be happy to." I smiled big.
