Chapter 5 - Getting Ready

August P.O.V.

I drove home happy af. I'm hoping Jhené will have a great time. I know I will.

Jhene P.O.V.

When my mom came home, I told her everything that happened. "Can I trust this guy? I mean ,I don't even know him." My mom said. "Of course you can trust him. You trust me." I say to my mom "That is true." Well you have fun. I'm gonna go shower and get ready for bed. Goodnight honey." "Night mom."

-THE NEXT MORNING-

I had grabbed my stuff and headed to school. I was ready for the day to be over so I could get ready for my date with August. I was on my way to my locker when suddenly my friend Desire in my English class came up to me. "Hey, Jhene! What were the chapters we had to read for Mrs. Butlers class ?" "Uhh I think they were chapters 6-10." I said to her. "Thanks. You seem happy today,but in a rush." "You must know me very well then. " I said laughing a little. "Spill it. Why are you so happy?" Desire asked. Desire is a good friend of mine. She travels a lot so I don't see her much. She was my best friend when I first lived here and she was the new kid."I'm happy because -" I started. "Because what?" Desire said getting mad. I laughed and told her about August. "GIRL! We gotta go shopping after school." She commanded me. "Already doin that." We laughed and walked to class. "So after school we going straight to the mall." Desire told me. "Yea. Well I'm going to lunch now, wanna sit with us?." I ask. "Us? Never mind, I can't need to finish assignments from Mrs. Butlers class." "Ok, see ya." I turn around to see August behind me. "Oh shit." I say in shock. "My bad didn't mean to scare you." August said putting his hand on my shoulder. "Your good. what's up?" I ask. "Just wanted to see you." "You're sweet." I replied to August.
After school me and Desire went to the mall. I got my nails done and my hair. I bought some outfits and dressed and new shoes. when I got home I pulled out all my clothes and started trying on stuff.
