ERRISA POV

"ERRISA! ERRISA!" Is the first thing I hear to start my morning, I sit up. "What..?" I ask, yawning. "THE VILLAGE IS UNDER ATTACK," I shoot open my eyes. "What?" I respond. "YEAH! HURRY WE NEED YOUR HELP! YOU HAVE THAT MAGIC WORD BOOK THING RIGHT?" I nod, he nods. "HURRY!" Zayden runs out of my house, pulling out his sword. I get out of my bed and put on my gear. I realize it's still dark outside. I shake my head and go through my backpack for the book Lucinda gave to me. I take it out and put on my Black Tourmaline and Black Onyx necklace and put it on. I go through to find my sword but can't seem to find it. Doesn't matter, there's a spell I can recite to bring a sword to me.

I run outside and see a man with brown hair and black eyes attacking us. "Are you the lord?" He turns to me, I shake my head. "I can't allow you to kill her as you did with lord Zein!" My eyes widen, is he the Shadow Seeker? "WHERE'S YOUR SWORD LADY ERR-," Zackery gets knocked out, I've never seen anyone this strong. I take out the book and flip through the pages and Zayden, Laine, and Nage fight. "Hunc gladium nunc mihi affer." I recite, a glowing, purple sword appears in front of me, I take it.

"That won't last you for long, Lord Errisa," I shake my head and sprint after him. "I'm not a lord!" I shout and swing at him, he looks like he's down. "I did good..?" I say, looking back at Zayden. "Yes you-..." His eyes go wide. "ERRISA LOOK OUT!" He runs to me and pushes me out of the way, a sword goes straight through him. "Fool..." The Shadow Seeker says. Tears well up. "At least you're safe..?" Zayden says and the Shadow Seeker twists the sword in his body, Zayden cries out in pain. I'm frozen, I can't do anything. I'm stuck. I want to help. Please. The sword is pulled out of him, Zayden falls to his knees as a pool of blood leaks from him. He falls back, lifeless.

"ZAYDEN!" I shout, sitting up. "Uh... yes?" He says, he stares at me. "Are you... are you crying?" I shake my head and wipe my face. "I'm fine," I smile, he nods. "Bad dream?" he asks, I nod. "About what?" He asks, I look down. "You uh... you died," Silence. "Oh. Well I'm here and fine so," I nod. I sigh and get out of my bed. "We leave tomorrow," Zayden looks away. "About that..." I raise an eyebrow. "What's up?" I ask. "I think I might wanna stay longer, I've kinda gotten attached," I sigh. Of course Zayden wants to stay, last time he insisted on leaving early now he wants to stay? "So I'm gonna leave without you," He shakes his head. "Oh... Oh. You expect me to stay?" I ask, he nods. "Will you? I don't wanna stay alone," He smiles. I sigh. "Fine, how much longer?" I ask. "Only like 3 more days!" I roll my eyes and nod.

I grab my clothes and wave goodbye to Zayden as he walks out of my house. I change into my outfit of the day and check where my sword is, just to make sure it's there. After a glance I see my- wait... that's not my sword. It's purple. My sword is black. I shake my head, and leave my home. I go to find Zayden. "Zayden!" I yell for him, I feel a hand behind me, when I go to look, nobodies there? Weird. I turn and continue walking and see Zayden. "Hey!" I call out to him, he looks at me. I walk up to him. "What happened to my sword?" I ask. "Oh... about that, it's the whole reason I was in your house when you woke up, I saw your whole house glow so I went inside because I was worried, and there you were, still sleeping. I looked around your house and saw your sword disappearing. All of a sudden a purple sword appeared," I look down. "Oh no," I say, I walk away. "Risa?" I shake my head and run home.

I dial for mom. I need her now. The call goes through. "Mom!" I say. "Hey honey," She responds. "Big big BIG problem!" I say. "Yes?" She responds. "I have a purple sword and I don't know where my black one is!" I respond. Silence. I can hear her rummaging through some things. "I have it, Errisa, do me a favor?" Mom says. "Huh?" I respond. "Check the sword, is it ALL purple?" Mom asks, I grab the sword. "Uh-huh?" I say. "Are there any engravings?" She asks, I look around the sword and find some. "Yes," I state. "What do they say?" Mom questions, I pull it closer to my face. "Irene's blade?" I say. "That's my sword, Errisa. How did you get it?" I sigh. "Aph, what's going on?" Dad asks mom. "Errisa has my sword and I have hers," Dad goes quiet. "How?" I sigh. "I recited a spell while I was sleeping and now I have moms sword," I say. "I'm sorry!"

"It's fine, just take care of it until you can get it to me okay, Risa?" Mom asks. "Yes, of course!" The call ends. What do I do with mom's sword? This is horrible. I need mine, mom's sword is heavier and bigger and I'm not ready for it! I just- why is so much going on? Irene forbids a village attack from happening while I'm here. I go through my chest and put the sword in as well as taking a back up sword of mine. I walk out the door to be face to face with Zayden. "Why did you leave so suddenly?" I shake my head. "Doesn't matter," I respond, walking around him, he turns to me. "It seemed important, tell me!" He insists. I shake my head. "Errisa. I'm gonna keep nagging until you tell me," Zayden responds. Brushing him off, I walk down the path to Zackery's. I walk in. "Please get this guy away from me," I say, walking further into the house. "Zayden, leave Lor- ahem, Lady Errisa alone," I look at Zackery. Is he joking? "Did you almost just call me Lord Errisa?" Zackery slowly nods. "I mean, villagers are calling you that often so I naturally picked up on it. I apologize, Lady Errisa," I sigh. "Why?" I ask. "You've done so much for the village, you've fixed it up, helped villagers with unnecessary things, and more!" I stare. "I do that because you guys deserve a stable and easy going village; everyone does!" I respond. "And you're kind hearted, you fit perfectly into the lord spot!" I start shaking my head. "I can't! I shouldn't. I'm a traveler, I never stay in one spot for long," I respond. Zackery sighs. "I know," I smile. "Good, so don't get your hopes up," Zackery nods. "Now can you please help me?" Zackery nods and grabs Zayden. "You may be on your way, Lady Errisa, Laine and Nage are waiting for you," I nod and leave. "ERRISA YOU STILL HAVEN'T-," I shut the door and walk to the field where we meet up normally.

"There you are, finally," Laine comments. "Uhuh, miss me?" I ask. "Not a bit," Laine rolls his eyes. "Anyways, last night did that bright light wake you guys up?" Nage asks. "Yeah! It was crazy bright, no idea what caused it," Laine responds. "Sorry," I say, they both look at me. "No way you did that," Nage says, I nod. "Yes way, I recited a spell in my dream and well that happened and now I have my mom's sword and not mine," I respond. Laine and Nage both look confused. I sigh. "It's nothing, what did you guys need?" I ask. "Nothing now, you're free to go," Laine says, I wave bye to both of them and go home.
