ERRISA POV

I walk down a rigged path. 'There are so many turns, this better not be another stupid prank by Zayden.' My mind wanders. The path in front of me is difficult to see because of the fog. I sigh as I continue down this path to an unknown place supposedly, called FalconCline. As I walk to the entrance, I'm tripped. "Well hello there, miss clumsy," Zayden says, I shake my head and stand up. "It doesn't count! You tripped me, Zayden!" I say, dusting myself off as he laughs. "It was a joke, come on Risa, laugh!" I shake my head. "No way! Now you said you would lead me to a man who can show me where and Inn is," I say, Zayden nods. "And we shall go find him now!" Zayden walks off, I swear I could punch him. I follow him close behind as he continues down the path.

We walk up to another guy who sorta is similar to Zayden, Zayden has black hair, green eyes, freckles, and pale skin, and this guy also has black hair, his eyes are a golden color of sorts, his skin is more tanned than Zayden for sure. "Ah, Errisa, this is Zackery!" I nod and give a small smile. "He'll show you to an inn," Zayden says as Zackery bows. "Miss Errisa, Zayden has told me a lot about you," I smile at how kind he is. "Thank you! So where is this inn?" Zackery begins to walk away, I follow him. "So, this is FalconCline, huh?" I ask, he nods. "It is, I'm afraid this isn't the best time for people to start coming to visit as out lord died in an incident," A worry washes over me. "So this place isn't under any protection?" Zackery shakes his head. "No, as of right now the closest thing to security we have is me as the fake lord, but I don't dare to run for the actual position of lord, I'm nothing but a knight," Zackery says, I nod. "That's understandable," I say, Zackery stops.

"We're here," I nod. "Thank you Sir Zackery," He nods. "Lady Faye should help you," I nod and walk in. There is a beautiful woman, blue eyes, like sapphires, ginger hair, a beautiful tan with freckles. It's enough to flush anyone who comes in contact with her. I smile and walk over to her. "Hello there, honey," I smile. "Are you here for a room?" I nod is response. "Ah, are you Zayden's friend?" I nod. "It's lovely meeting you miss Errisa!" She says going through keys. "You as well Miss Faye," She laughs. "Please," She hands me the key. "Skip the formalities," She smiles, I smile as well and go to the stairs and start towards my room.

As I walk down the hallway, CRASH! Someone bumps into me. "I'm sorry," I say as I go to help them up. "Ugh, of course," He says as he picks up something he dropped. "A new person," He rolls his eyes and walks down the hallway, I sigh. What a jerk, I take a turn and go into my room. I yawn as it's getting late and I'm horribly tired, I've been walking all day. I take off my backpack and rummage through my clothes. I find a fairly comfy set of PJs and head to the bathroom for a shower.

After the shower I go straight to bed and try to go to sleep. I shut my eyes and yawn before slowly drifting off into a sleep.

I wake up to a bright light. It's not day, is it? I turn to a clock. No. It's 1 in the morning! I go to check outside and see some white-haired boy doing some type of magix. I sigh and put on a pair of shoes and push hair out of my face. I go downstairs and hear a voice, Miss Faye. "Why are you up so early?" She asks, I sigh. "Some guy started doing some type of magix and it's very bright," I sigh and go outside. "Hey!" The guy looks at me and claps, the light goes away. "Why are you doing this so late?" I only now see his eyes are orange. He sighs and looks away.

"Hey! Orange guy, respond!" I say, taking a step closer. "I have a name," He says. "Well please then, lay it on me," I respond. "Laine," I sigh. "Is there no way you can make it not as bright?" I ask, he shakes his head. "No-can-do, it's a must for magix," I yawn then glare at Laine. "Is it really?" I ask. "Psh, no, not actually," He claps his hands and the lights back. "But if you must know, princess, cover your eyes and you won't have to deal with it," I facepalm then go back inside. "You know, Laine is nice when you get to know him," I sigh. "Doubt that but thanks Faye," She nods and I go back to my room.

THE NEXT DAY

I wake up and yawn. I scavenge through my backpack for a half decent outfit to wear, after like two minutes, I find one. I walk to the bathroom and change into my outfit and head out to the field where I should find Zayden and Zackery. I skip out, giving a wave bye to Miss Faye on the way out. In return I get a gentle smile. And I continue my way onto the field. Zayden waves me over and I go to him. "Hey Errisa, wait here with us!" I nod. "I wasn't planning on leaving so," I laugh a bit, Zayden chuckles and I shake my head. "Uh but, why?" I ask. "There will be two residents coming to teach you about our native magix, mainly light and fire," Zackery states. I nod and stand in between the two. Eventually two boys come up, as they get closer I recognize them both!

Laine and the guy who bumped into me, of course it's them. Just my luck. As they get closer they obviously recognize me, Laine smirks and the other glares. Once they're in front of me, Zackery introduces them. "This is Nage and Laine," So that's the other boy's name. Huh. Nonetheless a dummy is placed right in front of me. "Since you're new I'll go easy on you," I sigh. "I'm nowhere near new," Laine raises an eyebrow. "Is that so? Set the dummy on fire then extinguish it," A smirk crawls onto his face. I clap and set it on fire, with a quick wipe of my hands the fire is gone, the dummy undamaged. The look of confusion of their faces is priceless. "How?" Zayden laughs. "Why are you laughing!?" Nage asks Zayden. "She was trained by THE Lucinda, what do you expect, her to be weak?" Taken aback clearly, they both look at me. "THE Lucinda?" I nod. "How!?" Laine asks. "She's good friends with my parents," I smile and walk away. "Where are you going?" Zayden asks. "I'm gonna go start my house," I smile, Zayden nods and I walk off.
