i walked out and saw druig sitting near the water. I started to walk to where he was and sat next to him. "Hello (y/n)." He said in a cold tone which made a shiver go down my spine. "Hello druig." I said swallowing the lump in my throat. "So you're on board with this plan I see." "And I see you are not." He looked at me with a little smirk. "You are just as beautiful as I remembered." He said. "And you are just as handsome." He smiled and pulled me in a much needed hug.
I exhaled a deep breath I didn't even realize I was holding. "I missed this." I said. "Then why didn't you come with me?" He asked. I wanted to pull away a little to look him in the eyes but he held me tighter. "It's easier to have this conversation not looking at each other." He said. "Kingo wouldn't let me." I layed my head on his shoulder. "And you listened to him?" "I didn't have a choice when he finally let go of my arm you were already gone." I said. "I never left." He whispered in my ear and allowed me to pull back a little to look at him. "I've always been right here." He said placing a finger on my forehead. "I've always been In your mind." "Yes you have." And just as we were about to have our much needed kis we heard some shouting in the distance and ran toward it.
When we got to the camp we saw deviants. I helped kingo fight them but it wouldn't die.
Then the villagers started to shoot it but it didn't help. Then druig jumped over the deviants tail, grabbed the gun, jumped on it and shot it in it's head. "Druig let them go." I said when sersi captured the deviant underneath a tree. "Now is not the time, (y/n)." He answered. "Please they are going to die of you don't." I said sternly. Druig lifted the mind control and the villagers stopped firing. "Druig what happened?" One aksed. "Go! Get to the river!" Druig ordered them and they ran off.
"(Y/n) buy me some time!" I heard kingo yell. I turned to look at the deviant behind us and stopped it from running. Kingo created a huge energy ball and killed the deviant. Ikaris tried to kill the last deviant left in the camp but It was a sturgle. Then Sersi came to the rescue and turned it into a tree.
When we went into the woods to find Gil and Thena we saw Thena crying over Gil's limp body. I stood still schocked i couldn't move or talk.
we held a funeral for Gil on the beach. Thena brought his ashes into the lake while Druig and I watched with sad eyes. "When i left I thought about taking over the minds of every human on this planet. violence, fear, greed. all gone." Druig said. " why didn't you?" i asked him. " because without their flaws, they wouldn't be human." he stated. " Please Druig you can't stay here anymore. You have to come with us, with me." i said in hopes he would help us. " i do not have the power to take control of the mind of a celestial." he said looking into my eyes. " then we'll need phastos." i said. "well, good luck. he gave up on humans a long time ago."
