A loud knock rang throughout the small apartment waking Kamiko from her rest. "Fuck! What is it this early?!." She looked over to the clock hanging above the end of her mattress. It was twelve thirty-three pm. "Shit! I missed my alarm again!" The girl struggled, mentally gathering up the strength to drag herself out of bed. The pace and loudness of the knocks increased, but not gradually, annoying her with their irregularity. "I'm coming, alright?!" She ran to the door, her dark leggings and white shirt clinging to her sweaty form. "Whatta want?," the door flung open, nearly hitting the girl's nose.

"You have mail," the man in front of her held out a bundle of letters, waving them in her face. She yanked them out of his grasp and didn't bother looking through them, dreading the bills she knew would be there. "Good grief Hori, what's got your temper today?"

"None of your concern," she grasped the cold door handle, shivering at its cold touch. It seeped through her skin and she started to close the door, only for her movement to be blocked by the postman's foot. "Seriously Fujimara, this is breaking and entering, I could report you for this."

"But you won't, you wouldn't do that to me. Not when I could report you to the authorities for not having a guardian." The young man cheekily smirked at her, knowing that there was no room for her to win in the conversation.

"Man, fuck you."

He chuckled, "yeah, sure, anyways I brought you a coffee." A cup was held out in front of her face, in similar fashion to the letters beforehand.

"Why..?," the pinkette scanned over the cup and his face, looking for any validation for her suspicion. "You're not gonna poison me, are you?"

"Haha, not today, I just thought you'd need it considering what one of the letters in that stack is." He took his foot out of the doorway as her fingers wrapped around the brown paper cup, burning her skin. He turned around and walked to the next door, his long legs granting him a fast getaway.

"What letter?! I'm not expecting anything I think... Wait, what do you mean not today?! Letter..? Who could I get a letter from? I don't think I've given my address out recently. Oh! Yuuei, I almost don't want to open it..." The metal door shut by itself, scaring Kamiko and making her drop the coffee she had gingerly held moments prior. "Fuck! This day just keeps getting worse, doesn't it?"

"You have scored yourself a total of fifty-four points; thirty villain points and twenty-four rescue points." The mention of the second point category piqued Kamiko's interest, she couldn't recall hearing anything said about it at the entrance exams. A list appeared on the small hologram, showing the girl the top dozen contestants to complete the practical exam.

Student Name Total Points

#1 Bakugou Katsuki 77

#2 Kirishima Eijiro 74

#3 Uraraka Ochaco 73

#4 Shiozaki Ibara 68

#5 Kendo Itsuka 65

#6 Iida Tenya 61

#7 Midoriya Izuku 60

#8 Tetsutetsu Tetsutesu 59

#9 Tokoyami Fumakage 57

#12 Todoroki Kaseya 50

"I know what you must be thinking," All Might continued. "The rescue points were not mentioned to you and your peers because we wanted to test how many would forgo helping others, the main point of heroics. To see who would care more about themselves and ignore the basic principle of the job they are working towards. Ah ha, sorry about that," the bulky man rubbed the back of his neck and looked somewhere, most likely at someone behind the camera. "I got myself a bit carried away there, didn't I?"

"You did," the girl smiled, answering his rhetorical question to nobody but herself. "That's why you're number one, you put the best interest of civilians first, unlike the one directly below you. He has never and will never reach the same revered position because of it." She looked up from the electronic device and peered into the mirror across from her, the hero's voice fading into the background. The smile had disated as soon as it appeared, as if the very thought of the fiery man had zapped all the slight joy and energy from her short frame. Then the hologram dissipated into nothing.

"Huh, I didn't see Shouto's name on there? Honestly, with the man's traini- torture, I'd imagine he'd come in first place not that other kid. Bakugou, was it? Well, I hope he's not in my class, that would make life needlessly difficult. Wait what class am I even in again..? Shit."

The sky was orange and Kamiko walked down a busy sidewalk, skipping over the abundant amount of cracks, not wanting to cause her mother any harm. She turned down a much less populated alleyway and knocked at a rusting door that had a light flickering above it. It opened, revealing an older man, shadows underneath his eyes and wrinkles accentuating the stereotypical pedophile look that made up his face. "It's not your shift yet Hori, how do you get your internal clock seven hours ahead of the actual time?"

"Actually, I was wondering if you could help me with something, I'm not here to start work." She fiddled with the strands of hair that had fallen into her face because of the slight wind that blew.

"Well, nothing comes for free my dear, why don't you come into my office?" The girl followed meekly behind her employer, the noises of the bar he owned adding to her anxiousness. They walked into a dimly lit room, an old computer sat on the desk in front of her seat. The man closed the door with a click and sat down on the other side of the desk. "So, what can I help you with?," he clasped his hands that lay in his lap.

"I was wondering if you could turn my gray eye the same colour as my other one?" The girl didn't bother elaborating on her words, knowing that the less she shares, the less leverage the snake in front of her has.

"Okay.., so how are you going to pay for this? I hope you aren't assuming I do things for free, you have lived here for a couple years now after all."

"I am not assuming anything, I'll work overtime tomorrow morning."

The man shook his head, "there will be no use for you then, your normal shift covers all the cleaning I need done. Although... I could use you right now, one of my servers died recently and her replacement couldn't come to work yet." Kamiko clenched her teeth at the uncaring tone of voice he used when speaking of the end of the woman's life. She clenched them even harder, realizing that she'd probably have the same exact tone in hers if she ever had to speak about death.

"If you want this done, permanently I assume, then you work tonight. Also, there are a few conditions I have in place with any of my customers. The changes I make are permanent unless or until: you tell the authorities about my quirk usage or you skimp or skip out on any work you do for me without my knowledge. Of course I can remove it if you ask me and you work extra for me again. Any questions?"

"Yes actually," the male nodded, "I'm a minor, how am I going to do a job for an adult?"

"That's quite simple actually, my quirk allows for me to change anything about your appearance, so I can make you look older."

"Aren't you only able to alter one thing at a time per person?"

"Yes, if it's permanent, changing you to look older for a few hours though, that I can do. Sorry, but if you want this eye to change colour, there's no way for you to get out of this job."

"This motherfucker..."
