Note: Now, I know what you're thinking. How can Mechagodzilla have his own chapter, instead of being a part of chapter 1? Well, the answer is simple really, he's technically not an actual monster. He's a weapon created to fight other monsters. And while yes, he has the bones of the 1954 Godzilla in him (Yes, the 1954 film happened in this timeline), he's still a robotic duplicate of Godzilla, designed to destroy Kaiju.
And with that out of the way, on with the profile.
Mechagodzilla, this is a character I was wondering if I should include in this story. But after seeing the design for "Robogodzilla" from"Godzilla: Singular Point", I just thought "Screw it, he's in.".
Backstory:
In order to help take care of the reawakening Kaiju around the world, the United Nations (yes, they're still around) allows the creation of the "United Nations Kaiju Countermeasure Center" (U.N.K.C.C), and "G-Force". And one of their first projects to go into production is "Codename: Project Mechagodzilla". Using the bones of the Godzilla that appeared in the 50s, G-force creates possibly its greatest creation yet, "Mechagodzilla" (Or nicknamed "Kiryu" by the NERV staff)!Mechagodzilla was primarily designed to combat, and destroy far tougher Kaiju (examples being Titanosaurus, Megalon, Gigan, Sanda, Gaira, Baragon, Biollante, and even Godzilla). However, the usage of the original Godzilla's skeleton, and Evangelion technology leaves the robot with a ghost in the machine. When under control, its eyes are bright yellow. However, when the 1954 Godzilla's possesses the mecha, its eyes turn blood red.
Appearances and Weapons:
This kind of Mechagodzilla would go through 11 different designs over the course of the story. His weapons changed through the story too.
