Sora doesn't know how long they've been standing like this or why the police haven't noticed the brunette's possible impending death yet. Roxas's long knife is pressed against Sora's left arm, but not enough to draw blood. Sora knows Roxas wouldn't hurt him, so He is not scared. Roxas is doing this to get their attention, then makes it seem like this is literally life or death. It kind of is, after all--right? Sora feels like it's a solid plan, to show them just how deadly serious they are about not going back home. If the choice is between letting us go safe and having us totally flip out and hurt ourselves over the prospect of leaving... I mean, that's not really a choice, is it? They'll have to let them go.
☁️Roxas,☁️Sora gasped. He has never seen the golden blond like this. Roxas is in a super-concentrated trance, eyes focused, body tense. Huffing a little, he finally lets Sora go. The brunette looks up at Roxas's disappointed, surprised face... it's so weird. For the first time since they had met, Roxas actually sort of looks like a kid.

More than anything... Sora feels so bad for Roxas. This is his whole life. He's running from everything, everyone, and he's been out here so long. He has so much to lose. If Sora's mom takes him home, maybe He'll be able to regroup, see where his Dad might be, snoop for any hints of him around the house. Sora knows she has to work, right? She can't watch him forever, and Sora can just... figure out other ways He can find his dad. But Roxas ... he'll be starting from square one after two whole years. If he even has any family to take him in.
