which path will i choose

part 17

the sun have rise from their slumber. a new day shine upon the district. tanjirou room was dim with not too much sunlight coming in, and there a spot where the light can't reach. even tho that, he still prefer that all the window were closed. but it may draw suspicion on him. especially with zenitsu who is on to him. so he just closed some of it.

on the other side of the sliding door. someone say that he has a visitor. even tho he knows who it is. he still wear the make up just like the way shinobu did it. the door slide open, revealing the sound hashira. the hashira thanks the lady that has escorted him to his room. the lady bow and slide the room door closed. after waiting a few moments to make sure that no one else is around. the hashira then asked tanjiro if he have any info about his wifes. tanjirou answer his question by explaining how the other residents in the brothel suspect that one of his wife (suma) has ran away from the district. tho all of that was just rumors running around.
no one in the brothel was actually sure on what happened to suma.

disappointed with the information given. the hashira tell tanjirou to take a rest for the next night patrol. tanjirou then tell the hashira that he also need to rest. tengen assure him that he'll be resting as well. he just need to wait for his crow to send the letter from the other hashiras and also write his own. tajirou nodded and lay on his futon, tugged under the blanket comfortably. tengen open one of the window for the crow to come in. sunlight came in and touch him, making him flinch. his eyes narrow to the figure by the window worrying if he saw that. the hashira paid no attention to him as his gaze is still to the outside view of the window. tanjirou then let out a low sign as we rolled over making his back facing the window. he buried himself deeper in the blanket. he doesn't exactly feel tired but he still manage to fall asleep

as tanjirou sleep tengen take a glance of the boy. as he was aware with his reaction to the sunlight.

two crow flew inside the room. each one has a letter. the hashira took their letter and give the each back his own letter, each has identical massage. the two crow bow they head and head off back to their owners.

two letter from his fellow hashira in his hold. he decides read the letter from the flame hashira first. hopping that there be any information about the wellbeing of his wife. his eye scan the peice of paper

" the yellow haired boy 'zenitsu' said that he didn't find anything suspicious in the brothel, however when i was walking on the street of the district i found a figure holding hand with a young girl with a black hair with an orange tip at the end of her hair. with another boy that have a white snowy hair holding the girl other hand. i cannot see their faces, but they look like they have normal skin color. i tried to get closer but i lost them in the crowd. i not so sure if it really them, but we need to keep our guards up.

the letter did not give the reinsurance that he was hoping to get, instead he become more worry with the possibility of 2 kazuki and an unranked demon. tho normally wouldn't worry with a demon that isn't a kazuki, but with how she was with two kazuki and with them seems to be protective with each other. that demon maybe something more than an uppermoon.

the hashira open the water pillar letter hoping he'll find something that will calm his mind.

"inosuke said that he may found out that your wife is still alive somewhere but imprisoned by the demon. inosuke said he heard the demon talking to your wife in her room. but when he open the door the demon was quick to escape. he onlh saw a glimpse of the demon. he said that the demon look like a giant flat worm. he tried to follow it but failed because it seems to travel underground. for my part i didn't find anything worth to tell for this mission.

the hashira let out a sigh. he's glad that his wifes maybe still out there somewhere and can be saved.

the hashira narrow his eye to look at the boy that's lying in the futon. his breathing is slow just how it should when someone is asleep. he wonders what his other comrade would think with his letter. because for him, he starting to believe on what shinobu said to him.

hand still holding the paper he read. tomioka look distressed. and the blond boy look worried as his curiosity grew with the content of letter. the blond boy wanted to ask but he didn't know how. so just sat there quietly.

rengoku read the letter that was delivered to him by his crow. he open the letters and start reading it. he scan it again to make sure. his hand grip the piece of paper. the message on the it. he don't know how he would treat the red haired boy when he meet him again. with now he is almost convince that boy is maybe a spy.

the three of them doesn't want to think ill of the red haired boy. but if it's true. they want to know his true intentions are. is he an ally or an enemy.
