chapter four

it was now saturday and i texted matt to see if he wanted to hang out just the two of us and go and watch a movie, but the movie would be a surprise- i knew he would like it though. he texted back saying he would love to and i sent him the details. he let me know he would come to pick me up at 9 o'clock so we would get to the movie on time.

i got ready for the rest of the day and decided to watch tv until i had to get ready for the movie. after a couple hours, i checked the time and it was 8:30 so i decided to put comfier clothes on and eat something small before matt arrives.

shortly after, i hear a knock on my door and i open it to be greeted with matt's smile. i reciprocated the smile and walked out locking the door behind me.

we got into his car and he drove us to the cinema. on the way there we were chatting about anything we could think of. we soon arrived and i bought the tickets. we walked into the allocated cinema room and sat down. he still didn't know what movie we were watching.

i decided on the black phone (author- i haven't seen it lol so i'm not gonna write about it). whenever matt got scared, he would cover his eyes or hide his head on my shoulder like with IT chapter two. it was funny. on the rare occasion i would jump and matt would laugh which shortly followed by him getting scared.

once the movie finished we decided to try find an open ice cream shop. we surprisingly found one and ordered our ice cream. we both got plain vanilla. once we got it, i payed and we sat on a bench in the park while talking about anything. when we didn't know what to say, we sat in silence. it wasn't the awkward uncomfortable silence, it was so comforting.

he makes me laugh so much. my cheeks start to hurt from smiling so much.

he went to eat some of his ice cream but got some on his nose. he looks cute like that. i couldn't help but smile and laugh even more.

oh shit. maybe nick was right. maybe i do like him.

matt's pov

while eating my ice cream, i got some one my nose and allie's laugh and smile was the most adorable thing ever.

i think i do like her.

i couldn't tell her though, i know she only thinks of me as a friend.

after we both finish our ice cream, we head back to my car and drive to allie's place so i can drop her off. once we arrived we said our goodbyes and she walked into her house.

i drove back to my house and went straight to sleep.
