Ancipiti Gladio
THE CAR MOVED AT a quick pace as Jungkook stepped on the accelerator with great force, still remembering the directions Yoongi and Jimin had given him.
Belle was frightened at his atrocious driving but all she could think of was home. But what was she going home to? The normal, unsatisfying life she had been living all this time? She looked outside the car window as hundreds of trees passed by, 'It might just be better to stay here and not go back home.' She thought.
A few more minutes of driving and the two got on to the main road and Jungkook stepped on the gas. "Slow down! I don't want to die, Jungkook." Belle yelled and held on to the dashboard even though she had her seatbelt on.
"Sorry, I just really want to get out of this mess we're in." he said and tightened his grip on the steering wheel causing his knuckles to pale.
"We'll make it, you'll see. Just don't drive like a maniac? I still want to live to see 21."
"You will, okay" he laughed at her paranoia.
Onwards they drove, for what felt like an eternity. Belle couldn't help but wonder what Yoongi was up to, how he was treating his father. The news that Yoongi's dad was the Morgana beast came as a shock to Belle and it was especially shocking to Yoongi. You think you know someone but in actual fact, you don't. Life always throws you unexpected twists, leaving you speechless.
Finally, Jungkook pulled in to Morgana and drove straight to the police station but much to their surprise, it was...closed.
"Okay... what is going on? How can the police station be closed? This doesn't make sense." Belle looked around.
Jungkook was just as confused. "Something is up, Belle. I can tell it is."
Belle spotted a man walking down the street at a quick pace and called out to him. "Excuse me?! Excuse me, sir?!" the man turned around.
Belle ran across the street to him, "Hi, I was wondering if you could tell my friend and me why the police station is closed?" she asked.
The man, with piercing cerulean eyes, looked at Belle as though she had grown 3 heads. "You haven't heard?
Belle shook her head, "No, heard about what?"
"The beast is back. Three of our best police officers were murdered in the office last night. If I were you Missy, I'd get home as soon as I could. It's not safe anymore." He warned.
'But how?' she thought.
"Go on home, now." The man said once again.
"Uh, if it's so dangerous, why are you out here?" Belle cocked her head to the side.
"Do you want to die?" the man asked, feeling annoyed at the teen arguing with him. "Just go home and stop asking me questions."
Scared, Belle immediately turned around and went back to Jungkook.
"Bad news?" the boy asked, looking at Belle worriedly.
"Apparently, the beast was here?"
A dumbfounded Jungkook was rendered speechless for just a second. "What?!"
"You heard me."
"That's impossible. We left Yoongi's dad back in the woods. He couldn't have possibly escaped." He said.
Belle had already figured it out though. She knew what was happening. "It wasn't him. Jungkook. The menace is still in that house with Yoongi and Jimin. I'm guessing he has an alliance, someone who keeps things running here in Morgana."
