DAYS WENT BY and still they hadn't found a way out of the woods. They would walk for hours on end, cautious of finding their way to the house but also incredibly aware of their surroundings. Belle could feel her body changing. She was losing weight and the fatigue was getting to her. She was cranky, tired and hungry and worst of all, she had to deal with the sudden silence from Yoongi. Then there was Jungkook, constantly reminding them of their unfortunate demise.

A day ago, they were traumatized by yet another creature only this time, it was smaller in size. It appeared to be only 4 feet tall but had hair all over its body and had nails as long as tree branches. She picked at her wounds, scratch marks going down her arms...

It tripped Belle and violently started to scratch and claw into her skin but Jungkook managed to kill it before it could do any further damage. They stood over its body and for a brief minute, contemplated eating it because they were so hungry.

They couldn't risk it though, they couldn't risk getting any kind of disease.

The sun was beaming down on them and sweat glistened on Belle's skin, a contrast to her dry and chapped lips. She could feel herself getting dizzier by the second and it dawned on her that she hadn't had a drink of water since they got kidnapped. Her throat felt like sandpaper and swallowing her saliva wasn't enough to satisfy the need for water.

Each step she took was unbearable and she couldn't hold on any longer. With trembling hands, she held on to Yoongi's forearm for support and felt herself falling to the ground. "Belle!" she felt Yoongi hold on to her small body and lay her on the ground.

Darkness surrounded her and just for a while, she didn't feel anything. Just silence and numbness.

Her sub-conscious, however, was wide awake. She thought about everything. Lee, the kidnapping, Taehyung, the creatures that chased the around the woods in a never-ending parade of murder but most of all, Yoongi.

Yoongi.

Yoongi.

Yoongi.

He kept appearing in her mind. It was all him and for some reason, even though it all seemed bad, the thought of Yoongi made her feel...calm.

She was falling harder for her best friend.

Hours after she had fainted, her eyes slowly pried open and adjusted to the light. She propped herself up, her head feeling as heavy as a ton of bricks. "Damn..." she whispered.

"You really scared me, you know?" Yoongi was sitting next to her, cross-legged playing with a twig in his hands. Belle got a proper look at him for the first time in a while. He looked weak, his cheeks had sunken in and his eyes were hollow. He'd always been thin but being out in the woods with no source of food or water has made him look skeletal.

Her eyes stung as tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't help it.

Belle was tired, emotionally exhausted and physically drained. She couldn't imagine how Yoongi was feeling. "I'm sorry, Yoongi. This is all my fault."

"Stop saying that! None of this is your fault, Belle. Please, just stop saying that." He put his arm around her and held her close. "We'll get through this, okay? Just don't give up right now. We're so close to making it out of here, I can feel it. We're going to go home and everything will be back to normal."

She wiped her face with the sleeve of her dirty sweater. "Thanks, Yoongi." She smiled weakly.

"Anything for you, Belle."

"Where's Jungkook?" she asked, looking around.

"He said he wanted to find a route out for us. He took off that way." He pointed to his left. "I couldn't leave you here by yourself."
