School Lunch Party

Sixteen years later, I am now a senior at American Canyon High School. I have been in American Canyon High School for almost four schoolyears. I started high school in 2019 as a freeman. Now, I will be finishing high school in 2023. American Canyon High School is a great high school, and it has a giant compass. It has six buildings labeled with letters A to G. It has a large quad where students can enjoy their freedom while on break and lunch. It has a library in the A building, a large cafeteria in the B building, and the G building is a large gym with two basketball courts and a weight-training room.

I'm working on a math assignment that is due tomorrow. I was a bit hungry for a while. I'm in math class, The third class of the day. I have six classes every weekday. The bell rang for lunchtime. I pack my things. After class, I went to the cafeteria for lunch and got in line for a slice of pizza. I bought it to join my seven closest friends for lunch. My friends' group with three girls and two boys. We've been together since back in sixth grade in middle school. Their names are Michelle, Crystal, Madison, Joshua, and Nick. I am blessed to hang out with them, like having a family, but we're not related. Sometimes I can be busy. When I was alive, I liked to go to the school library. Right now, I'm not busy. They brought their lunch from their home.

I met Crystal in the eighth grade. She is very friendly and treats Edward as a good friend. Same for Nick, Nick is a good old friend since back in elementary school. Like Madison, he also supports Edward and always has a conversation with him.

" Hi, Edward," said Crystal

" Hi, Crystal," said Edward, " Hello, my friend. How are y'all doing?"

" Good," They said

They're looking at me.

" What you got for lunch," said Crystal

" Just a slice of pizza," I said, " What else can they serve us?"

" Tomorrow is your birthday, right," said Madison

" That right," I said

It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm turning eighteen.

" We saw your post on Instagram, it went viral," said Crystal

" You mean my birthday invitation," I said 

" Yeah, we saw," said Michelle

" Really," I asked, " Let me check,"

I pulled my phone out and unlock my phone to check my birthday invitation post. I left the youtube video screen, I exit and go to Instagram. In the Instagram app, it seems that I have notifications in the notification icon. The Instagram notification icon is a heart. I click it to check it out. My friends are right, It did get viral.

" Damn, That's a lot, " I said

" Is that your plan for your birthday," said Michelle

" Yeah," I said, ' Not just that,"

" Really, What are you planning?" said Madison

" I was about to say, but I wonder if y'all like to come to my party, tomorrow after school," I said, " My family and I are celebrating on the cruise ship around the bay area." 

" Really," said Madison

" Yeah," I said

" Can I come," said Crystal

" Certainly," I said

Madison talks to Michelle. I thought it might be something private, like a girl talk. They knew I had a crush on Madison,  It's true, I like Madison because she's so beautiful like the sunshine. It is magical to see her standing and blocking sunlight. Her skin glows and her hair shines like an angel whenever I see her. Although we have been together since we were children with our friends, we're not yet a couple. It's fine with me that I was just a friend. My friend, Nick, came closer to me and wanted to talk to me for a second.
