Day at the park

On Saturday, It is a sunny day at the park, Dan Foley Park. Dan Foley is one of our principal parks in the GVRD system. It features a community center, fishing lake ( state fishing laws enforced- see ), natural grass baseball field (with lights), playground, and synthetic lighted soccer/softball field. For boating/kayaking on the lake. We're going to hang out in the Lakeview West area. The entire Lakeview area can also be reserved for a total of 15 tables and 2 large BBQs. The area has a view of Lake Chabot and is near the fishing pier. It is handicapped-accessible. This site has no shade and no children's playground.

The park has a sports court for soccer, basketball, and tennis. You can see the view of the large amusement park called the six flags on another side of the big lake. My friends are going to have a lovely day. Michelle brought some plastic plates and napkins in a plastic picnic bag, Nick brought an in-n-out bag with ordered burgers and french fries. Madison brought a homemade lemonade with cups, and Joshua brought a soccer ball to play. Crystal wanders around to find a nice spot to seat.

Suddenly Nick sees Vincent walking and approaching, my friends. Mr. Mount dropped him off by the entrance of the park and let Vincent walk alone to go to meet his friends.

" Hey, is that Vincent," said Nick

Joshua and the girls atop what they were doing and saw Vincent walking toward them. Michelle felt glad that he came.

" That is Vincent," said Michelle, smiles

Michelle waves her hand at Vincent and he waves at her. Vincent came closer and stop by to see them.

" Hello, everyone," said Vincent
" Hi, Vincent," said Michelle " I'm glad to see you came."
" Yep," said Vincent

Vincent saw my group of friends wander around the small area of the park, near the lake with Crystal.

" Trouble finding a spot," said Vincent
" Kinda," said Crystal

Vincent sees Joshua bringing a soccer ball to play.

" You brought a soccer ball," Vincent talking to Joshua
" Yeah, wanna play," said Joshua
" Vincent, go ahead and play with Joshua while we find a spot," Michelle told Vincent
" ok," said Vincent

Vincent goes to play soccer with Joshua while Nick and the girls find a spot in the picnic area. They split up. Joshua and Vincent go play soccer out on the Meadows. Joshua kicks a ball to Vincent. Vincent kicks it back to him. Joshua catches the ball with his foot and kicks it to him again, but Vincent misses it. The ball went a little far away from Vincent. Vincent goes after it and stops the ball and kicks it back to Joshua.

" You like soccer," Vincent asked Joshua
" Yeah, just for fun, I'm not into the real game," said Joshua " And you,"
" Same," said Vincent, " You watch sports"
" Not too much," said Joshua
" Same," said Vincent
" I guess we have in common," said Joshua,
" Yeah, you're right," said Vincent

Vincent realizes he only sees Crystal, Nick, Madison, Michelle, and Joshua, but not Edward. He wonders where is Edward.

" Joshua" Vincent, calls Joshua while catching a soccer ball
" Yes, Vincent," said Joshua
" Where's Edward," said Vincent
" Oh, Edward," said Joshua, knowing Edward is not here, " Oh he's not here right now, he will be here"

Suddenly, Vincent heard an approaching vehicle coming by. He turns around and sees me driving a Ford pickup truck. The Ford pickup truck belongs to my uncle and I borrow it to carry tables and chairs to hang out at the park.

" Is that Edward's truck," said Vincent
" umm, I didn't know he drives a truck," said Joshua
" No," said Vincent
" Go ahead, meet with him," said Joshua " I'm going to let our friends know"
" Ok," said Vincent
" Take care of the ball," said Joshua
" Ok," said Vincent
