I walk down the street, uniform on, hair down, and headphones in. I walk through the crowded streets full of people heading to work, people with hangovers from the night before, and other students.

 I was very nervous for this year because apparently this year the class we're being put in will remain our class for the rest of our high school career. I was already in second year of high school, which in America I think would be considered Junior year, so I would be with these people for the next two years. Honestly, I don't know why my school decided to start this but it is what it is.

I arrived at my school and slowly headed inside, here we are again. I then looked down at my phone and went to the app which had my homeroom class, which was also my main class that I would be in along with my other extra classes that would be in other rooms like chemistry, gym, and of course lunch.

I walked up to the third floor and started to look for my classroom which I knew would be somewhere in this hallway. I then saw the little sign on the wall that had said the number of the class that I had to be in and heading inside. 

Inside, was the teacher who was writing their name on the board and a bunch of other students, huddled up at desks, sleeping, talking with their friends, and just hanging out waiting for the class to start. Through the full classroom I spotted Chuu sitting at a desk, her bag on the desk that was pushed up against hers since every desk was two right next to one another so that people had partners. I kind of sped over to my best friend and immediately sat down in the seat next to hers.

Me and my friend then talked for some time before I felt my hair be lightly pulled back. I looked back and saw Beomgyu sitting in the seat behind me with Yeonjun in the seat next to him. "What the hell?" I said as I ran my fingers through my hair. 

"And so we meet again." Beomgyu says and I just look at him for a moment. 

"Beomgyu, we are next door neighbors. You're acting like we haven't seen one another in decades," I paused "I literally saw you yesterday." I remind him. Chuu and Jun laugh while Beomgyu just jokingly rolls his eyes at me.

"Welcome everyone!" Our teacher says, I look back at the board behind him and see that his name is Mr. Kim. "My name is Mr. Kim I will be your teacher this year." Mr. Kim tells everyone. The bell then goes off and everyone stands up for the Korean pledge. 

Once the pledge is over everybody sits back down and the teacher starts to tell us about our plans this school year, the syllabus, all of that stuff. Then after a while of that, we start to do some activities to get to know one another. I know that in America, they call these Icebreakers.

I looked over at Chuu and we started to just talk about random shit since we already knew one another. I pulled my notebook out and opened it, expecting it to be the empty one I had gotten for school. When I opened it though, I saw that it was actually my new diary I had gotten myself. I quickly close it and place it on my desk closed so that I could look for my actual notebook I had gotten myself for school.

I then feel someone's arm reach over me and I instantly turn around, practically giving myself whiplash. "What Is this?" Beomgyu giggles as he goes to open it.

I immediately grab the notebook and shove it back into my backpack, pulling my other notebook out instead. "None of your business." I respond. 

"It's her diary." Chuu tells Gyu.

"Chuu!" I say. She's really just gonna expose me like that.

"I never knew you had a diary?" Gyu says, gasping dramatically.

"Oooo" Jun says, making everything even more dramatized.

"That's 'cause it's new." I tell Beomgyu as I open up my notebook and start to doodle in it.

"You're gonna have to show me it one day." Gyu says and I can feel his pencil's eraser gently trace random stuff on my back.

"Yeah, sure." I sarcastically say so that we could drop the subject. I'm never showing him that.

[SEPTEMBER 2]

I had a near death experience today; Beomgyu almost saw my diary. I luckily grabbed it from him before he could look inside but damn it was close. He told me to show it to him someday I said sure but there's no way I'm doing that.

I walked out of the front door of the school with Chuu, Yeonjun, and Beomgyu. Finally, it was the end of the day. Today wasn't too bad considering it was pretty much just teachers going over syllabus' and students doing 'Icebreakers'. We had talked for a while with one another when eventually we had to split up. Chuu and Yeonjun left with one another since they lived in the same area and Beomgyu and I went together. 

Gyu walked next to me, hands in the pockets of his pants as I talked to him about my severe hatred for gym class. As I was ranting, some middle aged man shouldered past me in an angry mood. I just went back to talking but Beomgyu looked back at the man annoyed. He then looked over to me and put his hand on my backpack, gently pulling me a little closer to him.

We stood in front of my apartment door, "See you tomorrow." I say with a smile before I go to open my door. 

"Hey, Lili." Gyu said, getting my attention and I turn around to face him. "I was thinking since tomorrow is Friday we can go do some karaoke at that karaoke place in Yongsan-gu, making take the subway down after school?" Beomgyu suggested. 

"Sure." I said with a smile. 

"Tomorrow after school, come home, get changed, and let me know when you wanna leave." Beomgyu told me and I nod.

"See you tomorrow Gyu." I say before I quickly hug him and go inside.
