We were walking out of the clearing when we heard a call. I didn't know what it was, but the caller sounded frightened.
"There's danger out there. Follow me." Darkness said. He spun around, facing towards the camp, knocking me over.
"Quickly!" He told me. But it wasn't just advice, it was an order. But I didn't really care. I don't want to be killed. I want to survive, so I caught up to him and we raced side by side. Once we reached the camp, there was only a few wolves in the camp.
"Where is everybody else?" I asked.
"There in the caves." He answered. "get in!" He stayed behind, making sure everyone got to the caves safely. I suddenly felt the ground shaking, and saw the rest were getting in. I felt like my fur was heavy, soaked with water. Many wolves were screaming with fear.
"Quiet down!" Darkness said, his loudest voice ever. Everyone suddenly hushed down and backed up carefully through the caves. once we reached the other opening of the cave, we quietly slipped out. Darkness led everyone to a safety, in a clearing that was swarmed with trees. We all tried to flatten ourselves but the didn't really work. So, we just laid on our bellies casually because if we laid on our backs, our bellies would be exposed. I heard some rustling in the trees. My ears perked up and the hairs on my back straightened.
"Did you hear that?" I asked Darkness with a little bit of fear in my voice.
The enemies came and I heard a scream coming from somewhere really close. I realized that the screaming was coming from me. I quickly relaxed and swiftly dodged pounces. Now, I was glad that Midnight pounced on me to in the morning. But when I was dodging one, I faced another enemy wolf. I tried to dodge his scratch but he was too quick for me. He made a huge line down my side. While he was smirking at me, obviously pleased with himself, I lunged for him and scratched his side and knocked him over. I ran across the clearing near the trees and scanned for enemies that looked weak and clan mates who were being attacked. I saw Howl struggling to get another enemy wolf off him so I bounded over and knocked the enemy wolf off of him. This is how I made it up to him. I saved his life. He quickly thanked me and we fought, side by side, against our enemies. I thought we won the fight because the enemies, which were few, retreated, trotting out of the clearing and disappearing into the trees and bushes. Everyone cheered. I felt pretty happy too. We walked in a group back to our camp feeling very pleased with ourselves.
