Okay so I want to preface this by saying you can characterise a character a certain way you like with your writing, yada yada but right now I just wanna rant so everything is going out the window
I am so fucking pissed by how people are starting to write ace. And I don't mean that in the: omg I saw one fic I didn't agree with so now I'm making it everyone else's problem
I mean that the version of ace that the fandom has managed to pop out of thin air at this point had absolutely no correlation to canon ace.
And like I get it. sticking to Canon is hard and annoying, whatever. But how badly do you have to not understand a character to manage to rewrite another one completely??????
Like at this point it's just plain hate. And hey! You can do that! But at this point I'm begging people to just a create a whole new tag for that because tell me why I go to his tag to try and find SOMETHING related to him and all I find is slander slander and more slander or some basic ass y/n stuff.
Like, I am begging on my hands and knees for people to reread his character because I think some of you might be confused on his actual character and shit you've seen online that took shit out of context.
