Ezekiel

I was only in Alexandria for a month and Rick trusted me already, he trusted me so much that he left me in charge the first time he went to the kingdom, a few people didn't like it but they came around, and I would be lying if I said it wasn't due to my bloody knuckles and a few bruised faces.

This time thought he wanted me to go, apparently, king Ezekiel didn't agree to join us in taking down the savors so he wanted to try again. He introduced me to him when we first arrived and we went their separate ways, I asked around if anyone needed help and they said no so I went out hunting. His tiger, Shiva wouldn't leave my side for whatever reason I stopped when I got to the gate and turned to the tiger "stay here" she ruffled her fur which I took as a no "fine, but you need to be quiet if you're going to join" she huffed, shes a tiger y/n she knows how to hunt.

Everyone around us looked at me weirdly that I was talking to her like she was a toddler, they thought it was even weirder when it looked like she was communicating back. We've been out hunting for over an hour, she huffed every time a walker came near to warn me or just took care of it herself I need to get me one of these. In a small clearing, we found an 8 pointer "jackpot" I raised my compact bow and fired, a straight hit to the skill. I quickly gutted it and wrapped it in a tarp to drag back, surprisingly Shiva helped by taking the rope in her mouth.

Meanwhile

"Carol, where's Shiva," Ezekiel asked the silver haired woman "shes been following y/n around like a lost puppy, find her" she shrugged, it wasn't a secret that the two were no longer together but she didn't have to be so rude he thought. After some asking around he found out they went hunting he also found out that she offered literally everyone who was working that day if they needed help, he thought it was strange seeing that they were guests "have you seen y/n" rick asked him "she took Shiva and went hunting" Rick looked at him dumbfounded "the tiger? Shes deathly afraid of spiders but doesn't mind getting cozy with a damn tiger" he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, she was like a sister to him and she confused the hell out of him sometimes.

"Open up!" the one on watch called down to the gate,  y/n and the tiger walked in dragging a tarp "we feast like kings tonight" she stopped in front of the two men and did a dramatic bow, Rick smiled, she's come out of her shell a lot faster than he thought "got anywhere I can skin 'er" Daryl walked up "how many" she smiled "8" they shared a fist bump and went their separate ways Shiva following closely behind y/n.

A little while later Rick was still trying to talk Ezekiel into the treaty, they rounded the corner and saw y/n skinning the deer with the tiger pacing beside her "don't even think about it" she pointed a bloody hand at her, she layed down with her head on her front paws and huffed annoyed. The men looked at her shocked "I can't even do that" Ezekiel told Rick the tiger wined a few times before y/n cut off a chunk from the belly and mumbled "enjoy... that's .. share" they didn't get it all.

y/n pov

I kicked the cooks out of the kitchen and cooked up a feast, we had steaks, roasts, smoked ribs and so much more. As the smell went around everyone crowded around the outdoor kitchen smiling. "Can some of you set up the tables?" I asked a few and they nodded, they didn't like us here but with the offer of food they didn't mind the best way to get someone to do something is food I thought, while Rick's plan of just talking might work providing his people with food would work faster.

I sat on the steps a bit far from everyone else, I gave my share to Shiva and I didn't want anyone to notice I wasn't eating, "here" Ezekiel sat beside me and healed pout a plate "I'm not eating your food" I pet the tigers head that was on my lap "it's your share" I turned from the others and looked him in the eye, he was lying "we can share" he seemed satisfied with that answer "how are you so good with her" the tiger was actually purring "I used to be a zookeeper" he was a little shocked "really?" I just nodded.

He kept scooting closer and I would be lying to myself if I said I wasn't attracted to the man "why don't we go somewhere private" I made sure my lips gently rubbed his ear and squeezed my hand on his thigh. He got up and threw me over his shoulder, I let out a laugh, Shiva playfully growled no doubt getting the attention of everyone.

I turned over feeling the empty side of the bed, it was still warm so he must have left a little while ago. I tugged on my clothes and searched for a shirt since mine was on the floor in shreds, literally. "Mornin" I sat across Rick and Daryl, Carol gave me a dirty look the two men smiled "have fun?" Rick smirked taking a drink "I did, thanks for asking" his cheeks went a little pink "best one I've had in a while" it was Daryl's turn to turn punk "we know, you were loud" Carol sounded pissed "he said he'd make me scream and he did" I smirked back while one of the boys choked on their drink. I knew what happened between him a Carol.

"Rick, Ezekiel wants to talk to you" he nodded and followed the women "ya think he's gonna agree" I just smiled "he will" he cocked an eyebrow "you see while you and Rick were trying to woo him with words, I wooed the people by filling their stomachs" he gave me the 'that's smart' look "what leader is going to turn down someone who provides for his people and doesn't ask for anything in return"

"But ya just said he'd agree to help us for it"

"I never asked him to join us, the two of you did. Him saying yes to you is his way of repaying me for the food" Daryl finally nodded understanding where I was coming from "he agreed" Rick came back to the table and I gave Daryl the 'told ya so' look.

5 months later

"Open the gate" we all turned to see what the commotion was about, and in walked Shiva "do you think something happened?" I asked Rick with a hand on my swollen belly, and he shrugged. The tiger walked right up to me and licked my belly "looks like someone missed you" I nodded and continued to do my work which consisted of telling people to get back to work, Rick and Daryl won't let me do anything else, no one put up much of a fight when they saw the tiger beside me.

Two days later

Ezekiel started on his way to Alexandria, he had a suspicion that Shiva was there. And he found he was right after the gates opened he saw y/n talking to Rick, Shiva was standing protectively in front of her.

Her hand was on her swollen belly and for some reason, he felt a ping of jealousy, he was in love with her and for five months he tried to stay away, and here she was with a baby on the way. "Shiva!" he called out, all three of them turned, y/n smiled the second her eyes landed on him Rick said his goodbyes and left "I was wondering when you'd show up for her" he pats the tiger's head and addressed the elephant in the room "the father-"

"You" she cut him off, and he looked up to her in surprise "when I found out Rick and Daryl wouldn't let me leave and something always came up when we tried to send a message" he nodded. y/n reached out and took his hand and placed it over her belly where he felt it kick. He smiled at her "come back with me" she smiled a sad smile "it's too dangerous, Negan's still out there" he kissed her forehead "I'll protect you" y/n nodded, and with a group of people they set off for the kingdom the next day.

Four months later y/n gave birth to a healthy baby boy which they named, Alex, after her little brother who she lost only months before Rick found her. Shiva was one hell of a guard dog and wouldn't let anyone go near y/n or the baby. 

 Six years after Negan was dealt with and Rick was gone they got married and had two more kids before y/n got bit saving her people.
