– THE WIND WHISTLED AS THEY MADE THEIR WAY ACROSS THE UNFORGIVING LANDSCAPE. The sound was accompanied only by the echoes of falling rock. Kallian pulled her wings closer around herself for warmth.

Huge pillars of frozen stone rose up around them forming what appeared to be the ruins of a keep. There wasn't a single sign of life anywhere.

"Where are they?" Sif wondered.

"Hiding." Thor scoffed. "As cowards always do."

But they stopped as a deep, growl of a voice sounded from somewhere in the shadows, echoing out all around them. "You've come a long way to die, Asgardians."

"I am Thor Odinson."

"We know who you are."

"How did your people get into Asgard?!" Thor spat.

It was then that Kallian spotted the deep red eyes glowering out at them from the dark throne of ice, along with four more, belonging to the two guards on his either side. "The house of Odin is full of traitors."

"Do not dishonour my father's name with your lies!"

Laufey shot up from his seated position. "Your father is a murderer and a thief! And why have you come here? To make peace? You long for battle. You crave it." Try as she might, the winged goddess could find no lie in his words. But she had other concerns, watching carefully as Jotuns closed in all around the group. "You're nothing but a boy trying to prove himself a man."

"Well, this boy has grown tired of your mockery." Thor retorted.

It was Loki who moved to his brother's side, trying to bring some sort of reason to the situation. "Thor, stop and think. Look around you, we're outnumbered."

"Know your place, brother."

"You know not what your actions would unleash." Laufey, Kallian found, did not look angry or bloodthirsty at all, but rather tired. He did not wish for war. "I do. Go now, while I still allow it."

Kallian stepped up to Thor's other side. "We will accept your offer, King Laufey."

Thor looked incredibly displeased, but when she and the others turned, he had little choice but to follow.

If only that one giant had kept his mouth shut... "Run back home little princess."

"Damn." So close.

Kallian sighed, a resigned, irritated noise. She heard Mjolnir swing and she heard the giant collide with the wall. "Next?" Her brother grinned.

Her wings extended wide, each of them longer than she was tall, sending Jotuns sprawling on either side. She lifted into the air with one powerful flap, and higher with a second before diving back down, slamming into giant after giant. When she rose up again, a blade of ice was flying her way. She drew her own sword just in time to cut it down. Four giants came running, and with a shout, she threw them all back with a forceful beat of her wings. The others were unfortunately having some more trouble. She dropped, landing behind Sif and using her wings to protect them against a shower of ice shards before taking off again. One giant careened into her, forcing her back to the ground where she fought them off with unrelenting fury and skill.

"Don't let them touch you!" She heard Volstagg shout. Only moments later, she found herself fighting side-by side with Loki when a Jotun grabbed his forearm. The armor crumbled away, but instead of an ugly, frostbitten black, it was a patterned sky-blue that overtook his arm. Kallian drove her sword into the giant before taking her brother' hand. Where their skin touched, his immediately began to regain it's normal colour. Her eyes were worried, but she gave a single nod. It's alright. Before plunging back into the fight.

Fandral's scream soon caught her attention, his flesh pierced through by ice that plunged back into the ground. She hurried to his aid, pulling him away from the icicles and flying them both up above the fight where it was safer. "Thor! We must go!"

"Then go!" Still, he fought, blinded by his own pride.

"Dammit!" Kallian cursed, struggling to keep both herself and Fandral aloft with weapon of ice flying by in every which direction. Her shock grew even further, though, when the monster of ice was released.

"Run!"

Kallian gave up on Thor, flying the opposite direction -- back the way they'd come. If her brother felt like committing suicide just for another taste of battle, that was fine by her, but he would not take all of them with him. They ran and ran until they could run no further, stopped by a sheer drop.

"Heimdall! Open the bridge!" Nothing happened, and half a second later, claws latched onto the cliff's edge. The beast had followed them from below. It reared, letting out a mighty roar... and Thor flew into it's mouth, tearing straight through the back of it's head. He landed before them as it fell back from where it had emerged. The smug look fell from his face when he turned to find an army of Giants behind them. Kallian gasped lightly, trying to keep her wings from faltering. She couldn't hover like this forever, not while she was carrying a full grown man too. The army was ready to rush forward, stopping only when the Bifrost cam gleaming down, revealing Odin astride Svadilfari. A rush of relief overcame the princess.

"Father!" Thor cheered. "We'll finish them together!"

"Silence!" He hissed, sounding angrier than Kallian had ever heard him.

Laufey rose up on the ice to meet him. "Allfather. You look weary."

"Laufey, end this now."

"Your boy sought this out."

"You're right. And these are the actions of a boy. Treat them as such. You and I can end this, here and now, before there's further bloodshed."

"We are beyond diplomacy now, Allfather. He'll get what he came for. War and death."

Odin sighed. "So be it." And when the giant raised his dagger of ice, he was thrown back by a blast of light from the golden spear before the Bifrost took them all with it back where it and they belonged.
