Yagami Light is a 17-year-old genius from Japan who is tired of his life, school, and the state of the world as he knows it. One day, on the way home from class, Light stumbles upon a dark notebook with "Death Note" written on the front. Intrigued by its appearance, Light reads the first few sentences, only to find out that it states that anyone whose name is written inside will die. Discarding it as a joke, Light continues his daily activities. Soon after though, his human curiosity takes the better of him and prompts Light to try the notebook, discovering the truth behind the first sentence. Now, with power in his hands, Yagami Light is on a quest to change the world and become God of the New World. His path to holy status won't be easy however, as another genius, known as L, is working against Light's beliefs and Light himself. Who will win this power of Gods between humans?

Opinion: sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooioooooooo.......... my gosh............ This anime was intense......like seriously....... And when L freakin DIES I WAS LIKE. Me: OH NOPE NOPE NOPE * Flips Table *(┛'д')┛
And FREAKin misa ! Can you just shut up about you're love for light. And stop being so stupid ! Ughhhh...... Light.......... Light ........light I liked you before you became depressed and insane. The light now is just no no no no no no.... You...... And THATS messed up, He killed his father ! I was like YOU INSANE TWIT. My favorite characters there were L and Ryuk. THANK YOU RYUK SO MUCH !!! DAT PLOT TWIST DOE ! RYUK is the only one that makes me laugh. :3 And near..... That boy..... Is weird, but adorable idk about you but that kid is just like L but younger version. And When Naomi died because she knew about something. I was like HOW DARE YE KILL THY NAME T^T. Like I like light, but hate him too. I hate misa a lot. L I love. So I realized that mostly all the names of the anime are one syllable. And sometimes I mix up Light and L .... So sorry ;-; I have failed ye my people.

Hope you enjoyed this anime ! I recommend this anime for you, cause this is freakin awesome with an UNEXPECTED plot twist. Season two and one is combined in one series. And there's a movie for it as well ! I have to watch dis !
