Chapter 4: Too good to be true?

Alexzander actually cares enough, to ask if I was okay.

Gulp.

After a couple of minutes of pondering about what to reply, my sweaty hands enter a reply.

'I'm okay, I gue-'

Before I could send the message, I received another text from Riley a.k.a Alexzander.

'34284739 This is my number babe. Call or text me! ;) '

Alexzander had never been this open. I am not sure if he even had a girlfriend. He would not call me 'babe' and he certainly won't give his number to anyone.

This was not Alexzander.

But I decided to play along.

'You hav never tried speaking to me earlier. Y now?'

The reply came almost immediately.

'Forget the past. I know you want me baby ;) '

I wondered what to reply. But a got another message. Maybe Alex was drunk at the party, but even that sounded most unlikely.

'Gotta go. Text me. ;)'

'Bye' I replied and placed my phone in my pocket.

What the hell just happened? Was that Alex or some random prankster? I still decided to save the mentioned number, just in case. My phone vibrated again confirming my thoughts.

It was from the number I had been given a few moments ago.

'This is the actual Alexzander. Everything mentioned in the messages from Riley's number was not from me. '

I was correct, it was not Alex. A part of me was definitely disappointed. It would be wonderful if Alexzander would have messaged to ask how I was.

It was too good to be true.

'If it wasn't you, who was txting me in your name?'

Idk, some drunk guy probably. Assume you don't hav my number. Bye'

Now that blatant hurt. It wasn't him caring about me, I can live with that.

He doesn't even want to have any contact with me, and wants me to delete his number! Seriously, do I gross him out or something?

(A/N: This is separate part of the chapter and not related to the beginning. The happenings in the rest of the chapter may seem confusing. Trust me, it gets explained in the end.)

The Art Academy held a little get-together to mark the end of the program. Everybody dressed pretty for the party. I don't remember how I got there, all I remember was I was dancing with Daria and Sydney till I couldn't dance anymore. It was time for dinner. I got food from the buffet and looked around for some place to sit and eat. Each stall could occupy maximum six people. I looked around to find an empty stall, but there wasn't any.
