Chapter 5: The ending.

I told Sydney and Daria about my dream the next day. Daria came over and hugged me while Sydney unexpectedly got up and stomped around the room.

“I’m going to get back at you, Mr. Peaks. I’ll take out your eyes and shove them down your throat! Let’s think of a plan Arizona.” Sydney screamed.

I half expected my mum to barge in with all the screaming. A part of me really wanted to get back at Alex but another part didn’t want to hurt him. Daria realized my turmoil and came to my rescue, bless her little pumpkin heart.

“Wait a second gal. You realise Alexzander hasn’t really done anything wrong. I don’t think he knows he’s been snubbing Ari off. His conscience is clear. What do we do to make him see?”

“I don’t know,” I replied, dejected.

Just then my mum called for me. “Arizona hun, can you run to the store and get me some groceries? We’ve finished up all the stock in the house”

“I’ll see you guys later,” I said standing up.

As I closed the door, I faintly heard Sydney saying, “We will make them talk.”

I sure hope you do Sydney.

Today was the last day to my Art program. We would get our official art degree. My mum was fussing all over me as if I was  ‘Little Princess Birthday Girl’.

"Baby doll, I suppose the purple top suits you better"

"Uh! Make those lips look luscious baby,” she howled.

And even when I whimpered about the 5- inch heels, mom looked at me strictly with a ‘I’m-so-not-going-to-hear-a-no look’, I had no choice but to give in.

So I dragged myself, with chemicals coating my face and painfully long heels. I had forbid mom to force me into a gown so at least that part of clothing was on my side. I entered the auditorium, just a floor above my Art class room. The auditorium was sure filled with people. There were proud students ready to receive their degree, and even prouder parents watching them receive it.

Finally it was my groups’ time to obtain the degree certificate.

Our Professor took to the stage.

“I would like to call upon stage the best students in the Art Section, A phase. Miss Daria Mathews”

Daria walked up to stage. Her parents were crazy with happiness. Her brother was taking photos’ snap after snap, her dad was clapping wildly and her mom was on the verge of tears.

I could totally picture my mom doing that.

“Kelly Crenshaw”

There were crazy happy parents everywhere.

“Derek Sheperd” (A/N. I added his name because I was watching Grey’s Anatomy while writing this. Imagine Derek painting. Hehe. Anyway, back to the story.)

“Alexzander Peaks.”

As Alex walked on to the stage looking smart and handsome, the auditorium turned silent. No happy parents. It seemed no one from Alex’s house had come to see him receive his degree.
