Macy's POV

Why did I have to get stuck with these to dimwits?

This is SO not fair.

"So what are we getting again?" Hillary asks

She's more the dumb one.

Bethany is just plain rude.

"Food you dork." Bethany says and she smacks Hillary on the back of the head.

"So how are you and Jason?" Hillary asks Beth

"It's going good." She says

"So your dating him?" Hillary asks

"Well....not exactly. We are but he just doesn't know it yet." Beth says

I roll my eyes.

This is going to be a looong day.

Jeb's POV

We are walking in a clothes store silently.

"So...where you from?" Misty asks and right when she asks she realizes it was a stupid question.

Well, to her it was a stupid question.

She was just trying to make conversation which is better than awkwardly walking around silently.

I chuckle.

"I'm from Brooklyn. And you?" I ask

"I don't know where I'm from." She says, looking through the clothes racks.

"You don't know?" I ask

"Well, I was adopted. So I don't exactly know where I came from. Some foster home in New Jersey." She says, looking ashamed.

"What's wrong?" I ask

"Well my adoptive father left me and my mom and my brother Jack when I was six and Jack was 10. We never saw my father since." She says

"Well there's nothing to be ashamed about." I say

"Well, I feel like he partially left because of me. Me and him fought constantly and he would always yell stuff like 'Your not my child' and stuff. It was only yelling. Never abusing. And he didn't call me names, just made sure it was clear that I was not his daughter." She says

Just as an instinct, I wrap Misty up in a hug.

I can tell she is shocked at first, but then she hugs back.

"You cant blame yourself for that stuff." I say "I have a sister named Sienna. I don't know where she is. She is twelve years old and I know she is somewhere with my mom, which scares me."

"Why does it scare you?" She asks pulling out of the hug and looking at me.

Her big brown eyes full of curiosity.

"Well my mom isn't the nicest person." I say

"Oh." She says

"Yeah. Long story. Now, lets get back to work." I say

"Okay." She says, seeming a lot happier than she was before.

Mason's POV

Stewart and Leon are so immature.

Sometimes it's funny.

Sometimes it's just plain annoying.

"Tag you're it." Leon says as he tags Stewart

He tags Leon back.

"You're it." He says

Leon does it back.
