Faith
"Y/N!" your mom screamed at you from downstairs. You just sighed, knowing that if you screamed there would be no response. So you just started making your way downstairs.
"Yes?" you say as you're halfway down the stairs.
"Did you take faith for a walk today?" she asked while sitting in the living room with you dad watching TV.
"No, not yet, bu-" You started to say before you got cut off.
"You know what the deal was Y/n, you get faith, and you take her on a walk every day. Like we agreed." She said looking at you.
"I know but mo-" You started to say again before getting cut off, again.
"No buts Y/n, go and take faith for a walk." She said turning back to watch The Walking Dead.
"Fine." You groaned as you rolled your eyes and turned to go to the kitchen to get the leash. "Come on Faith!" You called your yellow lab over to hook the leash on her.
You decided to just go to the park, let her play around a little then go back home. Everything was going smoothly until Faith saw a squirrel in the middle of the road. Soon she started barking and pulling the leash, you never truly realized how strong she actually was till now. And all of a sudden your hand slipped from the leash and she went off sprinting.
You started to chase after her, but she was always five steps ahead of you. She turned the corner, and as soon as you turned the corner you see Faith sitting, like a calm normal dog in front of a blonde man.
"Oh, im sorry about my dog, she saw a squirrel, and then she kind of-..." you trialed knowing that he knew the rest.
"It's all good, as long as you've got her now. She's a beautiful dog by the way. What's her name?" He asked trying to make conversation as you stood there awkwardly as he handed you the leash.
"Her name is Faith." You answered.
"I'm Justin by the way, and you are..?" he trailed off hoping you would finish the sentence.
"Y/n, I'm Y/n." You said trying to be as cool as possible, you didn't know why you were so nervous all of a sudden.
"Where were you heading? If you don't mind me asking." He said, you noticed he was blushing.
"We were on our way to the park, but after that chase, it got a little late, so I am just going to head back home." You told him, right after the words left your mouth you thought you may have overshared.
"Oh I was heading over by the way you came from, so maybe we could walk back together, until we have to go our separate ways?" He asked, clearly nervous.
"Yeah, I'd like that" you said, smiling at him.
