I get dressed and wander around the campus. I noticed things I've never paid attention too: the benches, small steps onto a stone, porchlike area with a small fountain in the middle.
"suprise," a familiar voice said behind me.
"let me guess?" I said. I turned around and saw jake with two cups.
"just some apple juice." he said, handing me one.
"thanks. so, what was the groupchat about? are they your friends?"
"sadly, yes."
and at that moment, a group of about six boys came almost charging at jake.
"there they are," he sighed.
"jake!" one from behind shouted. he was tall and had blonde hair.
"guys, this is...y/n," jake said hesitantly.
"I'm niki." the blonde said. the others also introduced themselves, and I was trying to put together text with face.
once they introduced themselves, we walked together in a group across the grass. we huddled against the brick wall of the next building. it was smaller and contained a few of the math classes.
among all the new faces i met today, none made me feel different. but there was someone, and it wasn't a usual feeling.
this time, I looked at him, and I felt a surge of butterflies and I felt my cheeks blush when we met eyes.
he noticed and smiled and talked to the others again.
dang it.
I think I have a crush on my dormmate.
